Ok I'm apologizing now for this rant. I'm having a pretty sh***y day in that another person my mom knows has stolen my ps3 and i honestly just need to vent and maybe get some advice.. :(
Ive filed a report with the police and i asked sony if they could trace any IP adress they connect to. Im just so tired of people stealing my things from MY house.

Do you think that you can find somebody trustworthy to watch your things in the mean time?

I don't know about your situation, but If you know who did it, shouldn't be too hard to convict them..

as for tracking your ps3, Sony cant do anything about it, unless given a court order (and you wont get that far over a $250 item)

not to mention, the only way to recognize where it is would be if they:

A. logged into your account by accident
B. you have your S/N of your PS3 saved somewhere and can provide it to Sony for them to use (along w/ the court order)

That really sucks I used to have a roommate like that. I lost over 25 xbox games and countless other things. Lockboxes aren't a great idea unless it bolts into the floor. The people who keep stealing your things could just grab that one box have all your stuff and take it back to their place to break into it.

I am furious for you! Don't apologize to us about needing to vent. Do you know who did it?

I think you should get some odd venomous snake, and talk about how many thousands of dollars it's worth.....

Is that mean?

ugh, wtf is wrong with your mom's friends? You really need to move out or find a way to keep your valuables safe. What did the police say? any advice from them?

Oh my gosh...that's awful!!! Your mom should protect you, not be exposing you to thieves and scum. If you know who did it, the police should be able to follow your lead and take it back. I am so sorry you are going through all this- if there's anything I can do, let me know.

I honestly think her mom's bi polar or something. Her head is definitely not screwed on right. I'm trying to help her the best I can to get her out of this situation. We've already made plans for her to move with us, but now trying to rework them so we can get her out of there quicker.

the police had me file a report online. i only have one lead in that before i went to sleep i saw one of her friends and another person (who mustve been his friend) in our kitchen. Her friend denies this because he says he was sleeping at the time. Id call on him if it werent for the fact tht he ran off shortly after and he doesnt hve a home
