Are all Epicrates capable of metachrosis? Is there evidence as to whether the Chanel in color is voluntary or not?

Thanks for reading!

I'm not sure about other epicrates than Brazilians, but the phenomenon is highly variable in Brazilians. Some do it all the time, some part of the time, and some (seemingly) never.

Here is an older thread one the subject that might help (only on Brazilians though). Pictures no longer work, but are on the LGR Facebook Page.

My CRB's definitely did - these are admittedly poor pics but clearly show a change to whitesided at night time -

God I miss my CRB's - they were great snakes.

Thanks for those pics! I'd wondered specifically about the CRB's. Never seen them in whitewash.
