Hello everyone :) so I finally got my humity on the cool side to stay around 75%
Yay :) I just wanted to know if I can do anything to keep Castiel busy. He just basks all day and hangs out! I don't know if it's normal! Should I put night crawlers in the substrate? I can't leave crickets in there because they climb the walls to get away from him. I just wanna leave some things for him to do :) maybe put my xbox in there? Haha kidding!

They do get bored.
This is the reason why a bigger enclosure is better.
Not ragging on you, just pointing that out....
In time when he gets more comfortable with you, you can "monitor proof" a room and let him out for an hour or so a day to get into trouble.
Be careful though, Chomper tore the curtains down once.

Haha, I love my monitor! I'm not gomna touch him tho, I just lead him onto my hand with food! I wish I could put him in a larger one :(

Savs are real smart and can solve problems... I've read that you can give them one of these chew-proof dog toys and put whatever savs eat in there and they roll it around to get the food out. Makes them think and work for their food and will keep him busy for a while. Wayne can point out if this is a good idea or not since I'm not a sav expert AT ALL... just what I've read and seen. Something like this (obviously not with dog food, but with something your sav can eat) :

shrimp.. whole shrimp.
Chomper used to love digging up worms.
In the spring, when Brady can get a pile of leaves going, releasing crickets into the leaves will make for lots of fun, Cass will have to rummage through the leaves to chase the crickets.

Yeah, you can use those! And putting worms in the substrate is a great idea, too.
My blue tail male has a stuffed turtle (that's pretty well dead now) that he carries with him. He also loves squeaky toys, but tears through them before I can close his enclosure.

Hahaha! I think I'll put worms in the substrate, I think I'll get one of those balls, haha and I'll get a little teddy for him

Chomper had a stuffed Santa clause he got fairly attached to.

You might also find logs or other odd items to put in his enclosure for a week or so, then remove them and replace with something else. My folks do something like that with the cats' toys. Mixing up what is out for them to play with helps to keep them interested. When items they haven't seen for a week or two are reintroduced, they usually show renewed interest in them.
