I just got a red tail boa the guy said he was around 6 to 7 yrs old and a dwarf boa Ive never herd of a dwarf boa so i wanted to ask here if there is such a snake and how to tell if mine is indeed a dwarf boa he is about 5 to 6 feet any comments would be appreciated Ty

His long is the boa? There is one locality that could be considered a "dwarf" species and that would be Hogg island boas. I am pretty sure they stay under 7ft for the most part. As far as telling the difference I haven't a clue. Regardless you will enjoy it immensely!

Yup pics would help for sure. Be sure to get a close up of the head as well as a belly shot.

At five or six feet he could be a small common bci.
There are several types of dwarf boas.Picture would be the only true way of telling.
