As some of you already know, I'm putting together a website that will cover all aspects of ball python care. But, I need your help!

Please post into this thread photos of your ball python enclosures. If you post them in here, I will assume that you will let me use them on my website. I will give you credit for the photo, so please include how you want your name/credit to be shown.

It doesn't matter if you're using a fancy enclosure set up, or a rack system. I need photos of any of them.

I've got a lot of the website set up... but I'm working on content and won't publish it until it's almost done and up for review.

Also, post photos of your ball python! I might use some of them too. :)

hope these help... i never used 2 hides with my oldest BP, she stopped eating when she had 2 in there... took it out, and she ate.. call me supersticious! lol

I'm not sure what everyone else has already suggested for topics you could cover, but I'm sure talking about feeding, shedding, and substrate would be good ones to cover.

For example...when a BP is in shed, it first goes "into the blue". Some people may not know what that is or what it looks like, and how to treat the snake while it is in that stage of shed. Questions such as: Are you allowed to handle the snake when it is? Should I feed it when it is in shed/in the blue? Stuff like that might arise.

I find that substrate is a huge one. Personally I have been using paper towel the majority of time because its cheap, easy to clean up, and it contains humidity fairly well. But in the negative it can eventually cost you more because you have to change all of it rather than be able to spot clean it. Newspaper I've heard is basically the same but isn't as good for keeping humidity, although I have never tried it. It is important to state what NOT to use as well, to prevent serious injury to the snake.

Anyways, I hope this helps you out a little bit. If you want any more feeding photos, shed, or basic photos let me know. I can supply quite a bit haha and if you want higher quality versions I can give them to you no problem :) Best of luck! Can't wait to see this site up and running!!

Have you covered the REAL reasons why and why not to feed outside the enclosure (as in, risk of impaction and how, contrary to popular belief feeding outside of the enclosure doesn't make the snake less aggressive... in fact, you're more likely to get bitten because you'd be moving the snake in feeding mode)?
