So I asked to be removed from this forum and some nice People who believed Me when I said my camera was broken sent me an email asking me to stick around One Person has been very helpful and for that I am posting these Pictures that I took. I am doing this so that maybe from now on the People that have chosen to judge and talk about dogs eating homework or that have decided everyone is a liar can now see that everything I said was true and maybe understand that a simple question like does anyone know why my lizard has started attacking my blanket will be answered without treating People like criminals because You have run into a few bad apples. The Pen as I call it Is twelve feet long and almost 3 feet wide (yeh so I was a little off on my guess) as you can see the slate is there just like I stated.... I removed the humidifier as it got in the way of the photos. I have already stated that I was wrong about the temps in the PEN I never once stated that I am to busy to take care of this lizard I only stated that I did not have the money to buy a new camera.. The camera I own is expensive and is now fixed... I took a picture next to my laptop on this page so that Nobody can say I lied AGAIN. I also have said that I give my Lizard a bath at least every other day and was told that if my PEN was set up correctly that would not be needed... My lizard likes to go for a swim so I give her that for fun. I will continue to do that. I think I have cleared up any problems here. The Picture of where the nail shows is where the basking light hangs it is not a danger to the Lizard but I had to take it down so you could see that there is a part of the Pen where she has about a foot of dirt to play in

Glad you're back, now we will be able to help. And remember, we never mean to offend you, we just want to help even if some people may sound blunt or harsh.

Hi welcome back.
Don't let people on the internet bother you. It's the internet. If anyone gives you a problem here you can simply block them. Personally, I am glad to see you came back, when I read that thread I really felt like you had a point in defending yourself everytime you posted but with the timing of your registration and current events on this board lately dealing with Savs I think everyone was a little quick to judge.
By all mean's stick around, what is the last picture of?

Hey. Welcome back! Thanks for the pics. Your sav looks good btw.;) Anyway I hope you stick around for a bit...... that pen looks like he has quite a bit of room to play in.
@ kiljosh
That's a pic of the 1ft of dirt for her to dig in.
Nice pics and interesting cage!!
Kudos on your return!

Welcome back. Nobody was trying to insult you.
I really like the length of your enclosure. I do see a major problem with it, though. Savannah monitors need 18-24" of substrate. I don't see that enclosure being tall enough to handle that. It's a simple fix, though. All you need to do is add some height.

That's a pic of the 1ft of dirt for her to dig in.
The angle of the pic is what threw me, it looks like it's looking down to the end of the enclosure from one side but with the nail sticking out I figured it was the underside of it or something.

Is there only the one opening? Looks like it would be hard to reach in to get her out, if it was on the other end of all of that *lol* Nice big screen projector though!
As for the monitor attacking the blanket, the original question a few threads ago, i would think it is a feeding response due to the shaking of the head.

The Other end opens as well the side with the dirt, I have never had to open it other than to clean because Olive is so friendly that when I walk to the front of her Pen she comes to me, if I let her walk around my living room with it blocked off so she cant get lost when I speak she climbs up my couch to sit with me..It is quite funny to watch.. What You dont see is the side I took the picture of has about 10 inches of dirt, I know that is not enough now she is getting bigger I am going to need more I'm working on how to do that without having to raise the top as that may not be so easy the projection screen would be in the way, but bottom line is I may have to do it anyways. If I do I may just raise up one half.

I am just thankful to have the room here.
That enclosure is ten times better than most, but still could use some tweaks.
What is your humidity readings in there?

Well the humidity level I try to keep at around 50 but from reading and researching I try to raise it at least once a week to around 60 to 65 I use a humidifier to raise it and mist down the soil to keep it around the 50 percent mark. I will admit I did not keep it this high until coming on here I just misted the pen a lot. I am dissabled so I stay home all the time I cant walk very well so I have plenty of time to take care of my lizard but the humidifier is much easier

I completely agree with Wayne. You're enclosure is so much better than most. Somebody else was keeping their sav in a 20 gallon fish tank. If you could just add that extra bit of substrate and adjust her diet, you'll be golden.

the enclosure looks good and you know what you need to do to improve it, sounds like you're on the right track.
Your sav sounds like she's happy and comfortable as well, kudos on that.
Sorry your experience on the forum hasn't been the best, as has been said most everyone has just been trying to help, even if they haven't been the most diplomatic about it. Glad to see you're back.
