here are some pictures of my little family of carpet pythons. It's growing slowly! I am very selective about my carpets!!!

Before i get started, I am not gonna start a whole 'nother thread for my 1 chondro, so here is my female kofiau nomming on a mouse! Sorry, its a cell phone pic...

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/931fa498.jpg

So yuo have a better idea of her color...

Here is Rorschach.... 2011 male Red hypo coastal jag from Luke Snell! Sorry, no "good" photos of him yet, not until it's warm outside!

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/1cac3125.jpg

Next is Bob. Bob is a bredli. Bob bites. That is all!

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/P1140442.jpg

Kisses... a jungle diamond intergrade... she was my first carpet and my third snake, she is very dear to me!

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/P1140390.jpg

Awesomesauce... no information on him. He's some sort of jungle diamond coastal thingy.

http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/P1140556.jpg

My newest carpet is this late 2011 Ivory male.. a pure jungle from a Ivory female to a Vandeventer male... this snake is going to be.... AWESOME!!!

Little Miss Hiss... NERD line recessive tiger coastal. She is fully striped and actually, I need new photos because she's growing sooo fast. She was supposed to be a "pure coastal" but I don't buy it. probably some jungle in there somewhere too as a truely pure coastal is a very rare thing anymore and I won't believe it unless I see paperwork... Anyways. That's not important to me. She's a sexy snake!
http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll86/aSnakeLovinBabe/32d8e07d.jpg

Last but certainly not least is... Persephone... a female jungle... beleive it or not, this is the only carpet I own that I did not pay for! Persephone needed a good home, her previous owner was very caring and ONLY cared that she was going to a good home, not her value. I told him he's crazy... because, well, look at her! She's worth her weight in gold! And she's not going anywhere!

Bob's a pain in my rear end  He as irregular about feeding as a ball python and he has a bad attitude! I love him anyways. Maybe one day I will find a nice bredl female for him. And he probably won't even be grateful!

Thank you!!! That means a lot to me... I am very particular about selecting my carpets. In fact I had the chance to bring an adult female irian jaya home last show for $30 (a friend offered her to me) and I turned her down. Not that she wasn't a nice snake... but I don't wan to be breeding average carpets. I want to ensure that when I DO breed carpets, they will be phenominal... there are way too many $50 carpets sitting at shows not selling because people will breed any two snakes with a set of 'penes and ovaries. And I feel for those snakes because they deserve better!

thats a very nice collection of morelia you got there

your jungle is one of the best i've seen so far, can't believe she was a re home.her previous owner obviously seen her beauty and didn't want just anyone taking her.(her colour is pretty special imo)

do you plan on breeding her at some point ? (imo,it would be a waste NOT to share those genetic's;))

that red hypo jag is stunning,Luke Snell produces some amazing morelia

the colours on your tiger are so crisp, bright and clean

i've seen australian pictures of pure coastals with a similar look to them.but imo your correct in saying, there aren't many untainted coastal bloodlines around, outside oz

would be great if you could find some lineage on him,imo he's a high quality piece of morelia,as is the rest of your collection pal

cheers shaun

I absolutely plan to breed Persephone! She needs another year or two before I'd even think about it! But you are right, it would be awful not to pass those genes on! Depending on how that Ivory male grows up, he may be her future mate! His parents are very clean beautiful animals so I'm hoping for a knockout! But in the meantime, a good friend of mine has ONE pet snake, and it is this male jungle:

I have access to this male whenever I may need him! And I think he'd be a GREAT match for her!

Rorschach is my favorite, but that's probably because I have a normal sib of his, a red sib of his and his red jag sister is on the way to me soon. :)

Bob looks like he has an attitude! Actually, the two sibs I currently have to your jag boy are just as nasty.

thats my exact sentiments when it comes to carpets pal

i always advise new carpet keepers to,ALWAYS buy the highest quality carpet their budget allows

imo, there will ALWAYS be a market for high quality morelia and their beauty is second to none

i breed to produce stunning carpets,it has nothing to do with money and everything to do with beauty;)

imo, either 1 of those 2 males would make a great mate for your gorgeous girl

imo its a hard choice as to which one you choose

personally i would try one male, then if successfull, give her a year off and use the other male next time

that said if she bred and didn't lose too much wieght and stayed in her present good condition,i wouldn't bother giving her a year off,i'd just breed her 2 years in a row, then give her a year or two off

i look forward to your breeding projects pal;)
