Ok so I just picked up my ATB and I could not be more thrilled. He is a yearling hatchling so I am guessing early 2010 and has already been established on fuzzy mice.
He is a red phase with a tiger stripe pattern
He has not been sexed but is suspected to be a male and is nervous as hell but he tolerated some pictures.. barely.

That's why I named him Mr. Crowley (in Supernatural Mr. Crowley runs hell) I was going to name him Lucifer but... decided not to give him that name and besides one of my favourite Ozzy songs is Mr. Crowley
Congratulations. Yeah he looks like he want to bite something lol

He's beautiful!
Also, I believe him to be a red tri-color, not a red tiger. I could be wrong, though. I'd like to see more pictures once he's settled it.
A huge congratulations goes out to you. You will definitely enjoy him!

I will try to take more when he's settled. I was talking to the supplier and he agreed that it is a red tiger since in real life he has no other colour on him than the solid red and the back stripes
edit: "is" should be replaced with "likely" or "could be"

Red tiger or not he is gorgeous
Oh, I definitely agree. To be honest, I think he looks better than any red tiger I have ever seen!

we'll see when he gets some girth hes thin right now, not overly thin and I know they are more wiry than other arboreals but as he gets a little bigger we will see better
I still don't see any more colour on him then red and black so we'll see I guess

Tigers have lines, though, not diamonds. He could be a bi-color. He's really cool looking, whatever he is. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing tons more pictures as he grows.

Congratulations! He is a really beautiful snake, and it looks like he is handful too! The testy ones are so much fun.
Beautiful snake indeed.

Most of these things can be brought to a calmer state once they realize you're not going to eat them, lol. Just keep working with 'm and I'm sure you'll break through :)

well today when we misted him and adjusted his temperature probes he didn't strike. Animals have a habit of calming down when we get them home I will give him about a month before I start working with him I want to make sure he's eating and has at least one bowel movement before I start handling him or getting him accustomed to being moved since I will need to handle him to do health inspections (we do this with my GTP once every month - 2 months) and to clean his enclosure. Even if he never tolerates handling I want to at least get him used to us and a hook and build a little trust right now we open his tub 1-2 times a day just for misting.

Great looking Amazon. Its nice to see more of them on here. Confidence and patience goes a long way to getting these guys to settle down. However some never do. Personnaly I kinda like that little tough guy attitude. Keep the pics coming.

Thanks I am already in love with them so I highly doubt this will be my last atb. I love his attitude and we'll see how he matures. Its good practice for the emeralds my husband is determined to keep

It's pretty much impossible to keep just one tree demon. They're so great, you have to have more than one. :)

Yea I will be keeping my eyes open for another stunner like Crowley when "he" is older I may have him formally sexed I doubt I will produce any myself though its tempting

I think Mr. Crowley is an awesome name and this by far is the most stunning ATB Ive seen yet.
Btw, my wife Laura wants to know which Winchester brother is hotter.

Funny story so I have had Crowley since Wednesday and he has eaten for me and when we checked on him today it looks as though he is going into blue. After the shed and a couple more feedings we will start slowly working with him
he is calming down nicely just very curious my husband is so impatient though so its more work handling him than the snake

My wife is the same - whilst she loves all the snakes i am the one that has to keep all the tanks husbandry right and do all the learning, i just then have to pass the info on to her and stop her over handling the snakes :)

he is just soo anxious to handle him and hold him and he has to understand especially with arboreals and the prehensile tail there needs to be patience involved especially when a species has a reputation for being defensive and slightly paranoid lol

So a little update on Crowley
He has had 2 meals with us and an amazing shed. I can't take any pictures right now because I just fed him last night after he finished shedding.
The last meal he had was pretty stressful for me. My husband went to feed him and when he struck at the prey he hit the tongs grabbed the metal in his mouth and constricted around both the metal and the mouse. I couldn't leave him like that so I wet his head with some water and gently manoeuvred his mouth off of the metal I never realized how long his fangs are. So after he let go I checked out his jaw and we coaxed him off of the metal tongs that he was still constricting around and was finally able to feed him properly
all this without getting tagged.
