Finally figured out how to upload my videos from my camcorder...
This is a short video of how I do the zombie rat nom nom dance for Pika. Unfortunately the lighting sucks and it doesn't show his true colors properly (plus it's night time, so I'm just using a small lamp).
Why do I feed in a separate area? Because I feed him the rats pretty wet and when I've tried feeding in his enclosure the pieces of reptibark stick to the rat and I don't want him swallowing chunks of it. Plus he doesn't seem to mind.

I love it! At least i'm not the only one who talks to their snakes during feeding time:D
Princess isn't due a feed untill Fri, if I remember I'll try to get it on video and post it here :-) Nice vid, I'm glad I'm not the only one who talks to their snakes ;-)

Nice video... I don't do a nom nom dance though with the snake species I keep. I show it to them and hope they don't miss.

A pair of stimsons with "small python syndrome"
I don't "tame" down my snakes.. so their pretty switched on most of the time.
I'll be getting a rough scaled python soon... longest teeth of any snake in comparison to size.

By the way... I'm never been a real fan of ball pythons but yours is exceptionally pretty Alessia.

I agree with you on that Swany. I respect all the responsible owners and breeders who work with Hots and the larger constrictors, but i know they are not for me:)

I can keep inland taipans, eastern brown snakes, tiger snakes and death adders under my licence conditions (as well as estuarine crocodlies for that matter). But they will all be admired from a safe distance...
The first two mentioned are number 1 and 2 respectively of the most venomous snakes in the world according to LD50 test.

Sigh, if only. I'm in the process of switching him from live mice to f/t rats, so he's too picky for the time being for a video. If he switches over completely I'll reward him with youtube and ssnakess fame :p

Good luck with the switch over:) It's just funny how some snakes take to f/t immediately, and others just are so stubborn.
