Adopted this little girl a bit over a month ago. The staff at the Petsmart where I obtain my crickets knows me by sight. It was shortly before Xmas and had stopped to pick up some cricks to feed the hungry masses before I left to go visit the parental units for the holiday. While there a staff member asked me if I knew anyone who would be willing to adopt a few animals the store had but could not sell. Would have liked to have adopted one of the two CWDs but I don't have that kind of room. But they also had a brown anole that needed a home. The little girl is paralyzed from the hips back. So far she's doing okay. She's in a small Kritter Keeper as her lack of normal mobility would not only make the greater space a bigger enclosure superfluous but would also make it harder for her to catch prey. Later today I'll have to help her remove part of shed ... she won't be happy about the handling.

That's amazing. I'm glad to know that she went to a home and not put down or left to be alone.
I wish I could take in all the reptiles nobody wants and care for them.

Wow. Never thought I'd hear a big chain store rehoming animals they couldn't sell. That is amazing! Now I'm glad I gave my number to one of my customer's that works there in case something like this comes up. :)

Thank you for taking her in even though she has a physical disability. She's very pretty!

I'm the same. I'm picking up another BP who's owner can no longer give her the attention she needs within the next two weeks.

I second this on both counts.
