I'm gonna make myself handle a T at the expo tomorrow.
I'm not really afraid of them but I've never really liked them.
Maybe tomorrow that will change! But my mom has made it pretty clear that there's no spiders in her house :)

Beautiful! Someone "got rid" of a rose hair that i took in (he was going to let it go...idiot) and i've suspected it being female. Looks just like that one!
I hope so :)
Our mexican red knee is a girl to! Beautiful pics! My camera isn't that good!

Well that would have been likely a death sentence for the poor thing.

Depending on how large it is, sexing from the exuvia might be fairly easy. Any idea how old the critter is?

Hairy-et is over 10yrs old. Can't be sure of her actual age as she was at least a subadult when I got her.

Beautiful T's DragonEye :)

I absolutely hated spiders...until i got one. My sister got me a Cobalt Blue as my first spider. I know it is not the best "first" but i don't handle them so it is no big deal. Definitely lives up to the nick name "pet hole" The next T i got was a green bottle blue. Same thing I don't handle it but having the 2 of them is great. They are fantastic display animals and I not longer get creeped out by them. I eventually want to get a lot more...but I have a few other animals I want first.

Our mexican red knee is 10 years old, and i don't know how old the rose hair is, but her shape seems very female, and she looks full grown. Our red knee is a B****!!!! The rose hair is the sweetest, docile thing. When you hold her you can do just about anything to her and she just tolerates it. She's my fav spider, and she was a rescue!

I am more afraid of the small spiders then the big ones myself. At least you can see where the big ones run to. I'd like to own a T one day and I've held a rose hair before but for now I'm content with looking at pictures and taking baby steps to conquer my fear. I used to not even be able to look at pictures of spiders without getting the creeps.

The first spider Fluffy is really cool looking I love all the color variations of tarantulas.
