I have found some truly good deals on Craig's List -- mainly for tanks (like the Marty Made 55 gal with a nice large piece of decorative wood, UTH, lamp, and large waterdish for $25). But I have also seen innumerable ads by & for idiots as well ... particularly for animals. (Such as a Chilean rose hair for $50. Puleez! You can get a mature female for around $15.)

Snapping turtles are really common around here. I used to have several at the back part of our land (only an acre). For some reason they liked to come close to the house so I was always moving them back toward the little stream at the end of my property. I kept a wheelbarrow at the back door for just that purpose lol. After one whipped around to try to bite me when I was moving it off the road, I don't touch them anymore.

Just found this and got a giggle.


I have a 300 gallon terrarium. I want 250 for it and 50 dollars for delivery within edmonton. I can't lift it, so you must bring 2 big guys. Its got a metal stand, light real wood top and cover for around the base, light, hiding box, a stick for rubbing on, and water dish.

It can go as of 29th. It can't get shipped as it weigh's 300 pounds at least. DOES NOT HOLD WATER, its got chips in the bottom edge and I fear it could break under the preasure of the water, but it works well for my snake that is going to live with my cousin.
