Just a bit of love being shared. I don't know what it is about taking care of them, but it makes me feel good! I love giving them fresh water, because just about everyone rushes over to the water bowl, every day, and gets a drink! So cute!!
I have my two Pound rescues upstairs, with my new baby male pastel, and all three of them *Watch* me while i take care of them. Each one peeks out of it's hide or slithers over to peek. (One is i'm sure, looking for a girlfriend, whereas the other always wants his water dish...the new pastel is just curious and periscopes.)

Fed my good boy hognose tonight, and the little brat has decided he won't eat unless he's in his cage *rolls eyes*...so clear off a spot and give it to him...he just opens his mouth and i stick it in...so funny!!!

I've finally gotten my little hoggie to eat consistently now...two pinkies tonight! I don't have anything bigger, that is small enough for him, so two pinkies for now. Gobbled down one then the other. Gosh they look like little muppets!!

Corn snake (now named Cob, since i found out he's a boy!) tried to drag his rat pup off under another tank, where i wouldn't have been able to get him. So i had to pull him out...and he got pissy and spat out his food. But, he's crawling around his tank now and i'll leave it in overnight to see if he takes it. He's greedy enough i sure i didn't leave any psychological damage *lol*

I just really love my snakes! I wish i'd gotten into them when i was a kid. I never knew what i was missing!

I have always enjoyed feeding time at my house, especially with the babies. They just literally shoot out of their enclosures to grab their prey item, sometimes doing vertical leaps that would make Michael Jordan Proud:D

I love feeding mine too! All my ball pythons have a really aggressive feeding response. 3 of my corn snakes strike and constrict, 2 of them just slowly crawl up and gently grab it and eat it and the rest of them just calmly strike and eat. My carpet python has a incredible feeding response. My female trans pecos rat will strike and constrict her's. The male eats every time, but I have to hold him behind the head and stick it in his mouth and he does the rest. My hognose just opens her mouth and I stick it in there.

Nah mate but I have a couple of pretty "switched on" snakes when it comes to food. My male jungle shakes a 60kg stack enclosure when he tags the rat from his perch. I can't imagine what he would do to my hands if he ever misses one day. I'm actually considering getting longer feeding forceps lol. He has busted a rat just on impact before he even applied the coils. Because he tags that hard, I feed him with the enclosure full open. I don't want him missing one day and hitting the glass or the sides of the enclosure. Being an arboreal set up he is also about neck height on his perch

imo,it would be better if you feed them in their tanks,as thats where they feel most secure

if feeding out their tanks just use an empty tub, this will avoid your corn trying to go awol with his food

its great that your hoggies finally ate for you
