blood on substrate...

Hmm soo before work today I was checking my snakes, my one blood is pretty much done with the mites there are still a couple on her but I think they are dead... Im gonna nix again in a week.

And I found a little spot of blood in my bps enclosure right on the paper towel it was like 1 cm by 3 mm big so I checked him over completely and found nothing... Now im wondering where the heck it came from... Any advice or suggestions?

Did he eat or shed recently ?

Check nostrils, mouth (maybe pull back a lip?) and vent. Could be a problem with the mite medication and some dry nose, or maybe a scrap you didn't see! Hope it's nothing!

I checked all exterior soo ill check mouth and vent when I get home.. It was a very small spot so im hoping its nothing...

so yea I checked him over even in his mouth... he didnt like that but all seems fine hes still active and what not...

Hmm.. don't know what it could've been, but if he look and acts fine, and there's no obvious signs of where it came from... IDK, hopefully it's nothing :hmm:

Its really weird I cant find anyplace it could have come from unless it was a small cut underneath one of his scales....

Either way hes on papertowels so no change of substrate getting in a cut and I can quickly identify any more blood... Im just gonna keep a close eye on him for now...
