Spike out grew his 20 long, so I moved him into his adult enclosure (55). I got that nice big piece of wood at a fish shop for $20 and is propped up and secured with moss rock (I check and it isn't going anywhere, so no worries there). He has 4 12" x 12" ceramic tiles for substrate (SO easy to clean) and a nice sized water dish for him to soak in if he wants. A 75 watt day bulb, 75 watt night bulb and a 24 inch reptiglo 10.0 uv bulb.

Nice looking beardie. Would like one but simply don't have the space.

It's an attitude descriptor. Quite often a literary (?)device(?) used when describing the visual impressioin one gets upon observng the apparent "attitude" of a majestic animal such as a lion or eagle as it sits on a hill or other high prominence and looks down upon its territory -- the land it "rules".

I would have had one a long time ago if I wouldn't have had a space issue. As soon as I have more space I'm going to get him a girlfriend. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

What do you have on the top of the tank? It looks like glass. If so, you should try to find a way to mount the light inside the tank. Glass is a very effective filter of UV light, so he's not actually getting any.

He's in a old aquarium and it has glass in the center to support the aquarium hoods, but the majority of the top is screen.
