Yeah it would be good to see how peoples carpets change with age, unfortunately my girls is a freak and she has pretty much been the same since I got her. All she does it get bigger with age.
Post away peeps add your "pregression pics" on here, if you have them.

Awesome progression pics red ink! The color change is probably one of my favorite qualities of carpets.

It's so great to watch them grow, even when we're doing it vicariously through your images :)

This one isn't as dramatic as my jag in my other thread I just put up. Here's my diamond x jungle I got back in 2008.

Nice.. you really see him develop his colours through the pics
Thanks! He really helped me learn how to take photo's, it was so much fun with him. I think I have more pictures of him then I do any other snake. Caylan.S.

I think the drastic colour changes are my favourite part of all Morelia species

Beautiful carpet Caylan! Those are great progression shots.
Thank you! I wish my photography was better in the past lol. But the colours all there, thats what I cared about in the end. He made it much easier though. Picking up the subtle things is hard, but's not so subtle lol. Caylan.S.

did sync go from aggressive/defensive to tame? it looks like so...
He did, and without even really having to handle him either. Most carpet pythons are like this I find, however I've had a lot of success "taming" babies when handling them right out of the egg now... Good eye picking that up!! I can easily handle him now, he's a great snake to take out. He even vocal hisses sometimes, it's really cute. Caylan.S.
Great idea guys, i`v never really noticed changes in color much apart from shedding:(
I`am going to rake out some older pics to see what i can come up with.
Love your snakes too, so beautiful in every way :)

The most drastic ontogenic colour change in the carpet sp belongs to a species that I do not keep and unfortunately rare on your side of the pond. Morelia spilota variegata start of as pink/orange worms with barely visible patterns to quite colourful and highly patterned adults.

This is making me excited for mine :)
It'll be awesome seeing him grow up!
