View Full Version : Woohoo, we have BRB action going on.....

Wow, I decided to get started on putting my 2012 groups together. Started Saturday late morning and worked through other details as I introduced animals like making sure I had decent ID pics of the neck patterns etc. I got through 12 females on Saturday, continued the process on Sunday and got through another twelve. two still to go but waiting on some sheds to make final decisions on which of three males to put with each female.

Anyways, checked on them this morning and found two pairs already going at it. ;):);)


Wilma x Fred - parents of Bam Bam, Velvet and Sugar, these two make amazing babies. And they seem to like it in the water bowl....

Also going at it another proven pair, Aubergine and Baroque, pearl on Pearl. He's not quite at the right spot but with time I'm sure he'll find the sweet spot..

Glad I decided to put them together this weekend and not next one!! ;):);)

Ahhhh Dave.... You're really not good for my pocketbook. I'm already adopting a son of Fred, I Yvette a daughter of Baroque..... yet I still feel like a kid in the candy store looking at this!

Hey! Then I could just blame clerical errors! "No Hunny, I don't know where my paychecks are going, or why we are getting a snake every other week? But now that it's happening, I think we're just going to need for you to bring in more money." Think that'd get me really far?

get use to sleeping on the couch and probably wont get laid anytime soon =D

They were, she was even sold but the guy disappeared. In the process she had a year off so I decided to give her another shot.

That can vary a LOT!!! The mating process itself can take anywhere from one day to a month or more. Typical is right around a month between first sign of mating and the POS. Once the POS occurs, then it's another 117 days (plus/minus 10) before parturition.

So, bottom line is about 4 -5 months

seems like the general consensus is that they're a little nippy as juveniles but mellow out well with handling, they need special humidity requirements/humid hide/etc, but you can look all those up. I'm really looking forward to getting mine! they're so shiny :blink:
