We went to the Columbus, OH expo again today and again came home with a new snake. This time it's a very pretty mojave girl. We haven't named her for sure yet, but Kenzi or Hatty (NCIS LA) are in the running. Here's some pics:

She struck and ate a rat fuzzy tonight like a champ. The breeder said she'd been eating mice so I wasn't sure if she would but no problem at all. Woohoo!

It's nice actually having the stuff to quarantine now. We didn't before and took our chances. She was treated for mites (even though she showed none but we're paranoid since we just got over our first outbreak) when she got here and we already had her tub treated before she ever came home. How long is the recommended quarantine for things other than mites?

Kensi continues to do well. She's got that hungry look in her eye every time I open her tub but has never struck at anything that wasn't food. She's a bit nervous with us still but it's only been a couple weeks today so we have only handled her minimally when necessary for cleaning etc. If they were all this easy ball pythons wouldn't have the reputation as picky eaters. LOL.

3-6 months.
