Hey everyone,
Gorgeous pics below, love the young king and the gabby.
With the new year under way, I am looking forward to start adding various hot species to my collection. Soon the specially designed hot cages will be ready but I won't have anything to put into them unless I have access to AV.

A while back I heard of a place called the Ontario Antivenin Bank or something along those lines. I think it is irresponsible to keep hots without access to antivenin, so could someone give me a contact to whomever is running this bank?

You can email me @ i_love_reptiles@hotmail.com or msg me on MSN (i_love_reptiles@hotmail.com) or Yahoo! (i_love_reptiles).

Thanks for your help and I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years! :D

I heard that in Ontario, antivenin can only be purchased by a vet or doctor. I too would be interested to learn more about an antivenin bank in Ontario.

BTW, how long is the shelf life of antivenin in general?

This was a venture that I believe is still being manned by Bry Loyst out of Peterborugh. He had worked hard with some help from a few of his friends in establishing working relationships with local Hospital Emergency's and the poison control at Sick Kids. I believe it is still in the working and he has built some inventory up. Contact him at the Indian River Reptile Zoo or Steve Marks president of the Ontario Herp Society. If you have any problems getting in touch with either pleae contact me directly at pcpcmail@rogers.com and I will get you in touch with them.
