We rescued a 3 year old pastel a while back with a MASSIVE RI, drooling all over the place, bubbles etc... it died a few hours after we got it...
Got in contact with a friend of mine with a special insect collection and gave him the head, 2 days later I got a call to come pick up the finished skull, here are some photos.

Wow! I really like it! I could study that for hours on end and never get tired of examining it.
Thanks for sharing!
Really cool stuff. It looks somehow less reptilian than I thought it would.

Wow, cool! That's not what I pictured the skull of my bps to look like :hmm:
Wow, two days is a quick turnaround. The dermestid beetle makes fast work of skulls, but I didn't think they worked that quickly.

He has a colony big enough to take out a fox skeleton in 2 weeks, a tiny skull was no match for it. Some of the skulls/skeletons in his collection are impressive.

that's awesome man, do the tendons holding the teeth in place stay or are they fixed in there somehow?

Its pretty fragile so I stuck it in a clear pill bottle and don't plan to fiddle with this one, it looks pretty well stuck together though.

Wow , that is cool . We have a BP approx 3 years old. I suddenly have a whole lot more respect for her now that I see how large her teeth really are .
Awesome man! Nice to have connections

your friend did a great job on the skull mate,i'm impressed with his work, especially what little time it took:eek:
cheers shaun
Very cool! And a little scary. Extra incentive to be careful during feeding time. I wouldn't want to be grabbed by those teeth. 8 month old ball teeth were bad enough.
