i will miss them but for the maintenece it`s just not worth it for me
so i am looking for somthing to put in there like a lizard or frog or insect
i dunno somthing really cool and agressive
and if you have a sugestion on where to buy them that would help.
not jumping into anytihng just get ready to do reaserch on why i might be putting in there.

Not impossible but very difficult to get hots in most of canada.
Tokay's?
Nice looking, agressive you would just have to have a vertical tank ( flip yours on its side )

Somebody said Reptmart was a good source.
By the way, a 55 gallon isn't big enough for even a baby nile.

ask stephanbakir if he has any leads on em, he seems to be able to find anything in Canada.
oh i know it`s not big enough for a nile just think nile`s are badass
i wish i had my own place i would have everything!

Tokays come and go.. go to a herp show.
You CAN find hots. but you end up dealing with shady people and shady animals.
What about an ackie? Dont remember much about them but a 55 should be large enough.

I would get a larger set up for an Ackie.... but they are amazing!

Not sure what dimensions a 55gal is but ackies need a minimum of 4x2x2foot :)

I'm pretty sure a 55 gallon is 48" x 13" x 21"

Thanks for the info. Never personally kept one long enough to worry about adult size. And its been years so Ive forgotten things.
Well i think tokays are a good bet. As long as you can stand the barking.

that sounds about right, I might start looking for an aquarium large enough for an ackie if all they need is a 4x2x2, that's not bad at all.

Yes a 4x2x2 is perfect for 1 Ackie. I am going to be building a 6x3x2 for mine once I move...
hey so if anyone was wondering on how this is going
i think i have chosen to do a berber skink tank!
i can get 2 in there and they are cheaper
i found one for 10$ or 25$ with the set-up
i have done reading on them
anythought`s ?
