We have Appreciation for all sorts of things and this morning I am feeling a bit sentimental (maybe it’s the hormones?) soo…

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you. I am really glad I found this forum and the fabulous people that are here. Normally I can’t stand people because they are unable to “think around corners,” meaning they are small minded, close minded, self centered, and ignorant beyond fault.

But not here. Everyone is willing to learn something new, discuss differing opinions without disrespecting others and I LOVE that. I appreciate your knowledge, experience, but most of all I appreciate your humanity. It is a Blessing.

This thread is a good Idea. I don't think we say thank you enough to those that deserve it. I love having an online community that I can turn to with my ups and downs as well as share my love of reptiles. Thanks to all my fellow ssnakess friends for always being online and open for anything!

We're special all right.

Seriously I truly enjoy this place. There are several here who have totally changed my opinion and views. Thanks all of you...... some here have shown me so much in so few words.

I came to this forum a bit overwhelmed by the sheer size of it. The more I use it, the more I love it. It's this same reasoning why this has quickly become my forum.

I recently had to leave my job and filed for disability income. One thing I miss is the "team" atmosphere, and the socializing. I used to receive, read and reply emails from customers whose wireless service wasn't working, or those who disputed their bills. ("There's no way I used all this text messages last month!" Yeah, ok, Dude! Of 100 million customers, we chose to rip YOU off! Oh, and the FCC allows it!

Anyway, now after nearly 40 years, I'm finally able to study, learn and focus on my true passion... my snakes and other animals. With that, I have all you guy/gals. This forum replaces many things I miss no longer working: computers (Smartphone), customer service (by way of answering questions etc. where I can), typing, grammatical-correctness, proof-reading, humor. You guys/gals are now my "second family"...... and for that, I thank you!

having a medical condition that keeps me home, and since my son went to school, this site gives me conversation and company while son and hubby are away!!

I love most of the ppl here and that differs from the other forums I have tried. I tried to find an online support group for parenting special needs children, you know what?? couldn't find one with any regular activity on it, so I made a thread and VIOLA!! I have a support group right here!! Who knew!!

Thanks to all of you, you help me keep my sanity!!

X2 to all of this, it's funny to look back at my first threads and see how clueless I was compared to now 7 months later.

Thanks everyone :)

As with a couple of others on here i have lost my social life to illness and disability, this site more than replaces all the things i "lost".

Friendly folk, heated (but friendly mostly) debate, love of reptiles and a place to air my most personal fears in a supportive manner - i couldn't ask for more!!

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!!! :)

I would like to include that when I first joined it was just "another forum" and it was very shortly after when Jason (Boots) sent me an email asking if I would mod here.

I gladly accepted, not so much because the people needed a moderator, but to keep the spam off the board & get the new member posts accepted rapidly.

On the day he announced that I was the mod, everyone welcomed me with open arms, it was awesome.

I wouldn't trade modding this group for anything.....

This forum has truly become a second home for me. Everyone has been extremely gracious, kind, helpful, and welcoming. I sincerely have not felt the kind of warm, cozy atmosphere that i feel here on Ssnakes on any other forum i've been on. To me, when i'm on here, it's like i'm wrapped up in a nice, fuzzy warm blanket:)

Thank you Ssnakes for allowing me to be a member of this truly wonderful reptile family, i mean this from the bottom of my heart :)
