The last 10 days or so has seen my GTP go from a few spots of green here and there to most of the snake having a greenish cast to it. May not be much longer now...
This thread, I am afraid, is totally useless without pictures. :)

In the mean time (no pun intended), the snake has mellowed out considerably. I hope it isn't just not a phase it's going through (again, no pun intended)!

Thanks everyone! Will post as soon as shed is complete. It looks like this might be the first shed that is not perfect. I can see a piece of old skin below his throat, near the head, that appears to be shredded. A few night ago it was rubbing on everything in the cage but could not seem to get it started. All previous sheds have come off in one nice long piece. Humidity is currently 75% plus. We shall see.

It might be my imagination but I think I see some blue coming in.

It is having a very bad shed this time but looks like it has got most of the old skin off. Only thing that changed is we switched over to adult mice from hoppers. Perhaps the larger size put some stress on the snake or feeding while in shed. Shedding certainly has not affected its appetite unlike our ball python which doesn't want anything to do with eating while in shed. Our red tail boa and GTP don't seem to care and are always hungry!

As long as all your husbandry is right (worth double checkign it just in case :)) then it could be one of those weird sheds - mine had one a while back but i cant remember whether it was around coolour change or food change time.

Current conditions are 85.8 degrees at the highest perch, 79.8 at the bottom of the cage and 73% humidity! Oh yah, also partly cloudy with a breeze out of the south and a 100% chance of mist tonight! :D
He (she?) is currently perched at mid-cage level as usual. This cage has been really outstanding at keeping near perfect conditions. It's a shame I am going to have to move up to a bigger one in the next 6 months or so. The only thing different that I can think of is the feeding of an adult mouse while in shed...He seems otherwise happy as far as I can tell. I know sometimes bad sheds just happen for reasons we can't see.

Could be the food my jcp had a bad shed recently dueto eating, as he was working the rat down we could see the soon to be shed skin ripping off his back.

You may be right. The adult mouse was definately a larger meal than it has ever had before. I guess it will be a wait and see until next shed situation.

Snake has shed again! Must have done an expedited shed since the last was so bad. This time it all came off in one piece and the snake looks great!!! Will post some pics soon.

Here are some slightly better ones. Gotta figure this focus thing out... Also seems the color change has slowed down somewhat. I have had him/her for about 14 months now. I've heard biaks can be the slowest at changing plus his/her aggressiveness leads me to think it's a biak. Also has some other biak traits like black slender tail and dragon like snout. Anyway here ya go!
