When we first got them they were hissing vibrating bags of "surprise you will like these" that came with our Rosys. Now they aren't quit the same as cornsnakes but are hardly vicious aside from a little tail buzzing now and then. I owe them for giving me the confidence I needed to take on the new lucys.

The male wouldn't hold still for pics so here is the female. Freshly shed!!

My local reptile shop has one with a great temperament that I would love to get, but I don't have room for a snake quite as large and active.

She looks great. I really like how her pattern stops abruptly at the head. Also love that you're on ssnakess in the background :p

They really are different snakes. I love my 2, they have so much attitude and personality. I really like the colors on yours? Do you know what kind you have?

Pics of my White sided bull/gopher ready for some food.
Pics of Jaws looking P-isd off as always

We love our gopher. She about 32" and 99% of the time tame as can be. Just remember if they curl up and hiss at you when you try to take them out of their viv to just grab them anyway so they don't learn to do it all the time. They seldom strike but even if they do grab them anyway. Typicaly once you touch them the show is over and its back to the " nice snake " you love. I love the gophers curious docile nature and voracious feeding responce.
Enjoy!!!

Holy crud! is Jaws standing up like that or leaning against the glass or something? what kind of gopher is that? Amel?

I like the intense gaze they have, kinda like an eagle.

Our gophers are San Diego Gophers both het for albino!! We may try breeding them next summer.

Hey Kernel, San Diego's are smaller gophers than most and smaller than our corn snakes and not as active from what ours are like. There a bit bigger bodied but not as long

Amen to that! I let them know its me slowly and take them out reguardless of there attitude. One nice thing about gophers is that they are big bluffers like hognose. Even if they strike at you it will be a closed mouth head butt and not a bite.

No that's him standing up :) He is got a real attitude! He can be at the back of his cage hiding and when the cat walks in he comes rushing to the glass and stands off with the cat. He is a sunglow.

I like the intense gaze they have, kinda like an eagle.

They always look like if they had eyebrows they would be making a mad face.

Cool pics. I don't think I've seen gophers in person yet.
