Lucy update

These snakes are still touchy for sure but I am making progress. The female bit me a few times very lightly and didn't draw blood at all while holding her though she did take a good defensive strike at the camera, That was enough for one day so I put her back. The male didn't bite me at all but towards the end his vent started to get inflamed and I smelled musk so that was my Que to put him back. I think they are a cool snake and I am eager to breed them once the female gets more size on her and see how vicious the babies turn out. They make me appreciated our placid by comparison cornsnakes.

Sweet looking snakes. I love the difference in the color with and then without flash.

I have held an adult lucy female and it was very friendly, but then I held a younger one and it just wanted to tear me to pieces. I have a baby male normal TX rat and he has good and bad moods, lol. Last time I held him he bit me 2 times, but it didn't draw any blood and the time before last I held him he was as nice as my corns. BTW nice pics, but I would like to see more of her as well.

She is like 1/2 the size of the male but is shedding and eating. I think when the previous owner co-habitated them she didn't get much food :(
