I wound up giving Becky her enchi tonight. No way could we have kept it secret until Sunday plus I wanted to get him home. No name yet, we're working on it.

And here's a quickie pic of the pastel guy. He's much bigger and has quite the attitude on him. Hissed at me first thing but he was fine once I got him picked up.

yea, he is very shy. I got lucky and got the first one before he started trying to hide. Meanwhile the pastel is not shy at all. Not at all. ;^)

Actually it's hard to impossible even for experts to tell from pictures so no worries there.

Enjoy the process Swany. For me the research and planning is just as much fun as actually bringing the new pet home. It's very fulfilling when everything comes together.

I just noticed something, is the pink bowl your enchi in a hide? You'll want to smooth out the part you cut off so that he doesn't get cut.

Good eyes Eli. I actually did knock off the sharp edges with a file after the pic. The bowls are only temporary until I can get to the pet store this evening to get better ones. Thanks for looking out for me. :)

PS I've found the ones made for aquariums are often cheaper than the hides marketed towards reptiles.

I should have updated this before. Becky named the enchi Gibbs and the pastel Franks after NCIS characters to match Ziva the pinstripe. I'm waiting now to get one and name it Tobias who is one of my favorite characters/names on the show.
