getting a small heater...

i am getting a small heater for my reptile room... its about 10'x10'..

walmart had one for like 20 bucks, do you all think that will keep the room a nice 80 degrees or so at night.. when the lights are off..

(snake rack has consistant flexwatt on though..)

my brb will be getting a che to keep on all time, but my boa doesnt, or my beardie... so they dropped down to 66 last night and my BRB too...

Sound good. I use a oil heater i got a Dollar General for $30.00.

I got it set on low and it keeps my reptile room at 72 degrees. I never put it above that, because with they heat pads their cages stay 78(cool side) to 89(hot side).

I have a Lasko space heater that uses ceramic and it keeps my whole apartment nice and toasty at 76F in the winter. Don't know about the brand you bought, but Lasko ones actually give off heat and not just that weird hot air. It also thermoregulates. So when the room reaches 77F, it turns off and turns back on when it gets to 74F, etc.

Ya, Ive got the oil radiator style ones like Marvel. Works like a charm

i got a small one for like, $17. it is a sunbeam one... hope it works.!

Make sure its one with a reliable thermostat. I got one of those $20 Walmart ones, And i could never get it to stay at a certain temperature no matter how much i tinkered with it.

tested it out last night, kept the room right around 84, which made tanks right around 80 and did not mess up my rack..

so everything is perfect!!

although, when i get my CHE for my BRB i hope it wont effect the temp on her tank, if it does, i will just keep the light...

and as for my room being around 84, its all good because it is the snake room/clostet... lol 10x10 spare bed room we use for closet/snake room.
