Hey guys, been a while since I have been on here. I got a juvenile leatherback bearded dragon last weekend. He is about 78 grams in weight, and I'd estimate around 12 inches at least from nose to tip of tail, I'll have to measure him later to be sure. Was told around 5 months in age. Anyway, I just got in some dubia for him. I went with the medium sized dubia and they are slightly bigger than the space in between his eyes. He ate quite a few yesterday evening and seem to chew them ok. What is your opinion on food size? Should I just keep with the medium and keep a close eye on him? New to the beardies so any help is greatly appreciated!!!

You should be ok, just watch for speed eating. Some times they eat so fast that the first one isn't swallowed all the way before the are swalloing the second & third ones.

If you are greatly concerned, cut them in half :)

i cant buy the right sized crickets for my beardie so he gets ones that are a tiny bit to big and he doesnt completely swallow them so i have to take him ot of his feeding tub and he fights me and scratches because he wants to get back in there
