Miko is shy and sweet while Cupid is rambunctious and mishevious[sp?]

I don't currently have bunnies, but I used to have a bunny named Bugs. He was an unexpected addition, but he was such a great pet. We were at Petco buying supplies and we saw that he was up for adoption for free, so we decided to bring him home. He was so friendly and goofy. He was litter box trained, so we would leave his cage door open and he would run around the entire first floor. He always liked to hop up on the couch and sit right next to you. He even got along great with our 70lb dog!
I have a few rabbits lol
I'm worried about Miko though, I think I should call the authorities lol

Awe, I was going to name Cupid Bugs because of his gray ears and face.
These 2 were unexpeted pets too. I had a baby one that was 1 month old before these 2 and it died and I was really upset so my friend surprised me with Cupid and she got Miko but Miko stays with me.
Sometimes they will cuddle up with us while were are watching tv or play the xbox other times they will hop around knocking everything over and trying to steal our cheetos. lmao

Thank you :D
They are litter trained to an extent. As long as the litter box is clean they will pee in it. They poo right next to it though instead of in it. lol Weird bunnies.
And Miko was an accident kind of. At first we though he was a she so we named her Mika then found it was a he so we added an o and took away the a. But it all worked out!
Whay are you worried about miko?? lol
Depends on what his demands are.

One day I want a mini lop rabbit. I totally fell in love with one a few weeks ago. But I'd want it to be totally litter trained. Rabbits and bunnies poop too much for my taste :p

Thats understandable. snakes need to eat too. both rats and bunnies make great pets. honestly though I think a rat would make a better pet. I had a couple of them and they were awesome. They are smarter than bunnies and more manageable and aren't as high maintenance as bunnies coould be.
In your condition, with the cats I mean, I'd get a bunnie over a rat. cats like the smell of rats and try to eat them. Well from my experience. rats are more social too.

Maybe rats are smarter than bunnies, but are they more fun? Browsing Youtube a few days ago I came across a whole new side of the rabbit world. Check out this video... They definitely know what they're doing! And it looks so awesomely fun too :p Some of those rabbits really have great agility! Skip to minute 6:57 which is when the champion rabbit takes his turn.

I use to have a beautiful bunny named Thumper. I think I was 5 at the time. I named him Thumper because like on Bambi, his foot was always thumping. He looked like a calico cat in coloring, white with large spots of orange, black, and brown. My parents didn't lock him up properly before we left to go somewhere one night and when we got back my cat had gotten to him. I'm not going to describe the condition he was in, needless to say they took him outside and used a shovel to kill him and bury him. I didn't get any more rabbits after that and the saddest part, since I was so young, that is the only memory I have of Thumper other than the day I named him.
Well, we did have Bugs & Bunny, white rabbits, and I enjoyed playing with them, but I never got attached to them. Turned out to be a good thing because one day my parents offered me some food, I ate it and asked what it was, they told me, "That was Bugs, and this is Bunny" picking up pieces of meat...UGH!!!

I can totally relate Zara... I used to have 2 guinea pigs, and one day they became dinner. My family is mostly Peruvian, and guinea pig is normal to eat there... when my parents decided that my brother and I weren't paying enough attention to them, they grilled them. I refused to eat them and got sent up to my room without dinner, lol

^^^^NO WAY!!! I have always wanted to try Guinea pig. Seriously. I had some neighbors from Argentina when I lived in ln LA. They had a BBQ once that included the whole cow. The head was wrapped in leaves then buried in the ground. They started the fire over the head. When the cow was done they dug out the head. It was pretty good.

We use to have a little bunny cant remember its name because my kids changed it every other day. but we took it back to the pet store right before we moved to NC because the kids stop taking care of it, I miss it more then the kids do lol, but i hope to get a few next year for breeding food for my bigger snakes.

and for those of you that have, how the hell could you eat a cute little bunny and know its a bunny your shoving in your face? [not towards you who didn't know, thats just wrong.]
Sorry if I offended anyone. I just don't understand how people could do that, its understandable for a snake but
I don't even eat cows or pigs much less a cute little bunny!

Ranch/farm life. Rabbits are raised for food. It's normal when you are raised that way. All animals are/can be a food source, it depends on how you were raised. A city slicker wouldn't think about having to cut the head off a chicken and ripping it's feathers out and when faced with having to do it odds are good they would NOT like it one bit. I was raised doing it and as long as I have my gloves, it doesn't bother me in the least.

As far as humane slaughter goes, eating chicken/turkey/duck is far worse than pigs and cows. Even if they're not enforced, there are humane slaughter laws that protect how pigs and cows should be slaughtered. There are no laws whatsoever that protect any birds and how they are slaughtered in the food industry.
I've tried rabbit and guinea pig before I was vegetarian. Rabbit is delishhhh. But I know better now ;) Also, we can take more of this discussion back over The Vegetarian Thread (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/general-discussion/88614-vegetarian-debate-thread.html) if you want. It might be more appropriate there, than on this cute bunny thread :)

Is pushing cows over with bulldozers and letting them live in like 6 feet of their own feces one of the humane slaughter laws? If so thats disgusting.
Just saying. The main reason I stopped eating pork and beef because it made me feel gross. I don't know any other way to explain it.

Hahaha that bulldozer bit is pretty funny. Who fed you that?
Cows are a considerable investment for farmers that DO NOT have a high return. So it is in the farmers best interest to make sir his cows are fairly well taken care of. Kinda like a car. If you want to get any money out of it you wouldn't take a baseball bat to it would you?
Chickens on the other hand are raised in deplorable conditions. They can be harvested in 2 to 3 months. Are extremely cheap to purchase and feed. They are not well treated. Hence why vegans love to use chickens in their evil propaganda!

There was a great show on tv couple of years back called Kill it, Cook it, Eat it. Each week they took an animal from its farm through the normal slaughter process but let people watch, they then butchered it and cooked it in front of them before serving it to the live viewers.
Not sure what it is like in the US but having worked in a UK slaughterhouse the animals are treated with the utmost respect throughout the process, obviously as in all trades there are disreputable places but the vast majority are fantastic.

They are trying to raise awareness about the maltreatment of chickens in slaughterhouses; how is that "evil"? Also, pretty sure it's animal rights advocates who do that, not necessarily vegans ;)

HAHAHAHA ok well since you said vegan = evil and that I could find it on the internet, I checked. Now, I'm a vegetarian but I have a good sense of humor and thought this website was hilarious: Vegetarians are Evil (http://www.vegetariansareevil.com/) I never "preach" to anyone about my dietary choices nor do I ever impose them on anyone or anything like that. If I get asked for information about it, that's when I talk about it. Or to correct misinformation people aren't aware is false. But that website really made me crack up :p My favorite is if you click on the left to "Vegan Killers." Amazing the drastic correlations people are willing to draw out

As long as the animals that are going to be eaten are treated well I don't mind it but if they are being starved or over fed [to the point they are obese and can't stand up at all!] isn't right at all and makes me sick.

...like the chicken and turkey you eat? Unless you personally see the animal before you eat it, chances are it was overfed to the point it couldn't stand up to maximize meat per poultry. Sorry kiddo, we live in a world where most animals raised for food who are raised in slaughterhouses are in horrendous conditions. Poultry aren't even protected by an humane slaughter laws. I think the UK must have better welfare laws cos our chickens and turkeys get the same rights as cattle - anything that is for human consumption has to pass certain standards.
Yes you can still buy battery chicken and it is cheaper but i think the majority of shoppers buy meat that is a few pence dearer but has the guarantee of humane treatment.
When we can afford it we buy all our meat stuffs from a local farm, they rear, slaughter, butcher and sell everything from duck chicken turkey and rabbit through to various porks, boars, and multiple breeds of cattle. It works out a little dearer so we cant afford to do it all the time but when we can we do - the bonus is the meat tastes SOOOO much better!!!
That's one of the reasons I hunt.

We just rescued a "Lionhead" bunny (I think?). This little girl is adorable as can be! The daughters of the previous owner turned out to be allergic, and the fact the bunny apparently bit the mother a few times didn't help its case any. So, we got her tonight, gonna let her chill and start working with her tomorrow. I'll post some pics then. Stay tuned!
