So, Static seems well I posted his post shed pictures the other day.
Thing is when he shed, I was expecting him to poop also, because he didn't poop the week before.
So I believe he has eaten twice now since his last poop.
As per some advice I gave him his very first soak in luke warm water last night for about 15 - 20 min. He swam a little bit and even dove head under a couple times but then wanted out, no poop =(
I believe this is week 3 that he hasn't gone.
Thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks!

Just keep feeding. Not all snakes poop on a regular weekly basis. I have some ball pythons that do and some that don't. If you see his backside starting to swell then I'd probably slow down/stop but until then he should be fine.

Hey,
So, I believe he has 2 small rats and 1 med inside him since his last poop.
I've never seen a snake with swelling from impaction or anything, though I think you'll agree, he looks okay right?

when I thought my boa was impacted I looked it up and it said that if the area around the cloaca was hard and swollen that it could be an indication of impaction not sure if its the same for pythons

He looks fine, my JCP poops roughly every 3 months - tho we have just upped his food size so that may come down slightly

Since no one else has asked/mentioned, I'd just double check your temps and make sure they are in range also. If they are running a bit cold that could be slowing him down a bit.

Jarich, you are so right on :P you've no idea lol.
And the temp range in his enclosure is large, coldest part is 70, up on his perch is 91
He tends to spend most of his time on the ground hide on warm side, occasionally climbing up to bask for a few min then back down.

You shouldn't have a large gradient like that. 70 is pretty chilly, especially for a snake.

It's quite good actually for a Morelia sp...

From the shape of that snake, I'd almost say it looks gravid.
Most Carpets are quite active animals, which keeps them fairly regular, but if it's still not emptying itself, it's either not had enough intake to output, or it's gravid.
My female jag (Sol) looked just like that when she was brewing some eggs - the swell is in the right spot. Any chance of getting a larger image posted to have a better look? A top view on a hard surface (like on the floor) would be best to tell is the thing is gravid.

Static is a boy :)
And, he has eaten 2 small rats and 1 med rat since pooping.. which is more then enough to make him poop. (I would think?)

Thanks Shaun,
Those pictures I posted are from just the other day, and today I had him out, he's acting completely normal.
I am going to hold off on feeding him for a week or so to make sure he does his business I think though.

My male Jungle is about the same size and he pounds back XL rats and empties about a week or so later. Perhaps it just needs more intake. I know Whiskers will suck those big old rats through a straw if he had to :)

i wouldn't get hung up on monitering how often he poops mate
i keep carpets into double figures and have never had any problems with constipated snakes
sometimes the same snake will poop weekly, other times monthly
as long as there is no swelling, imo theres nothing to worry about
