Okay so Athena has eaten twice since I have had her. Yesterday before he second feeding I weighed her at 4 oz. around 22-24 inches. Is this a good weight for her. I noticed a little loose skin on her so I am going to step her feeding up a little. Also I haven't seen her drink. She hides most of the day so don't see a lot of action from her. She is very active and curious when I handle her. Not to mention very sweet and docile. She eats well. Doesn't really constrict but takes food without fuss. Does this sound like a good track record so far for my first boa?

I RARELY see my snakes drink except after a meal, as long as they don't look dehydrated they'll be fine.
Try and post in grams, a little easier, that's 113ish grams.

its only carpets i keep but.....
i've read that feeding certain types of boa too often, can lead to death from overfeeding
a starving snake looks skinny, its bones, ribs etc showing through its skin (not saying your snakes starving )
wrinkling of the skin or tenting as its called can be a few things.
most often its due to the snake coming up to a shed,it can also be caused by de hydration
most snakes drink in the dark when they feel most secure,so imo you won't see your snake drinking that often.i keep carpets into double figures and i very rarely witness a snake drinking
pictures may give people an idea of what if anythings going on (could you post pictures please)

Well that helps ease my mind about the drinking thing. No she is not starving, and I am not 100 % sure I would be able to tell what dehydration looks like without someone explaining it. I have not stepped her feeding up aggresively enough to cause health problems. Just moving it up a day when the meals might have been a little smaller and then soon I am going to step her up to a larger meal item. But thanks for the concern. I have pictures on my previous post and since I have to use my phone to upload right now it will be a day or two before more come.
