As I need Montys old enclosure for my upcomming Blackthroat I decided to make my BP a new enclosure.

First I would like to say that I could not have achieved this without the knowledge gained and assistance form this site and its members. So, below is my first of many enclosures.

Also note that in my appreation, I have 70 pictures illustrating step-by-step procedures of the entire process (including my F. ups) which I will add text to and provide a pdf file for Jeff to put somewhere for future referance.

Please, as usual constructive criticism is welcome, with the understanding that I am in the process of designing a unique hide system to accomodate the most descriminating Ball (LOL)
and getting a theromastat from radio shack.

Once again Thank you all!
Sincerly
Brian

Oh, I'm sure that I'll have a tonne of questions -- LOL :) I'm looking forward to seeing the how to sheet that you're putting together... should be very helpful :)

How long would you say it took you to put that together?

after the material was cut at home depot, it only took about 5 hours to assemble (3 nights)

Well, I can't wait for the "How To"... after researching, I think I might end up building my GTP enclosure by myself to save a bit of money (and shipping)... should be interesting, I'm definitely going to need all the help I can get... LOL :)

I think someone could make a lot of money selling "assemble it yourself" enclosure kits. You know like that furniture they sell at KMart? Looks great Asphyxia!

That is a good idea, but I think you would need some special tools, and all those weird nuts and bolts, the only tool i have is a drill, and even that sucks

I will look into that though

Thanks for the comments

Cheers

Alice, that's an absolutely awesome idea! Hehe :) I'd totally go for that... I can buy those "assemble yourself" things and get it all together just fine (in fact, I just did my new entertainment center last week :) :)), but the idea of starting from scratch scares me shitless... hehe ;)

Hey Asphyxia, how much did it cost you for everything? By the way...you did a great job! Looks awsome! Why don't you start a little business building enclosures, and advertise it on this site. I'm sure that you'll have plenty customers. (Including Me!)

Thanks Paolo,

For about $40.oo in melemine you can get almost 2 cages built (I used up some of the extra Pces as I droped the original),
the Glass cost me about 25 misc. stuff like glue silicone, Track screws, those things that are stuck on the glass and the legs cost around 25 at the most + the heater, Substrate and light (16.oo) I also built a reostat because the heater was to hot 25.00

And thats about it

Ps> ya right, I still have another 6 to build for my self LOL
