Anyone know a way that I can pre-kill Guinea Pigs? These are my first feeders that I'd ever have to kill so I don't really have all of that fancy CO2 chambers and what not. Can I put them inside a snake bag one by one and wack 'em against the wall or will that be too inhumane?

The easiest Co2 chamber. Put your feeders inside a container of some kind (airtight) put the dry ice inside a critter keeper (or any container with holes) and put that in the container with the feeders. Wait 5 minutes
Please don't smash em against the wall.

Alternatively you can manually break their necks.

Like Stephan said, make your own CO2 chamber with dry ice. But please don't smash them against a wall... :(

I just got them in about an hour ago. They're sooo cute! (bet I sounded girly LOL). I'm gonna feel bad feeding them off :(

You can also buy those big thick Ziplock bags. Just put them in, flatten out the air and zip it closed. Never tried it with guinea pigs, but works with rats and mice so I assume it should work the same.

Any Tupperware container work. It takes longer then adding coČ. As the oxygen depletes they will breath In more coČ.

Cervical dislocation. It's fast and painless (severs spinal cord from brain stem).

There are arguments as to whether cervical disclocation or use of a CO2 chamber is more humane (with reports on both sides). If you don't have a CO2 chamber, it's certainly your best bet for a fast, humane form of euthanasia.

All the best!
