Gotta love fresh paint jobs. It's getting difficult to capture her length in the frame these days, so they're not the best shots. I'll get some better images after she catches her breath from shedding :)

She's about 7.5 feet at the moment and still growing like a weed. Her sheds haven't even hit 8 weeks apart yet

Wow! I love her color. How old is she?
She just turned 4 years old, but she wasn't exactly what I'd call well-fed (or calm) when she arrived a year ago, so she had a lot of catching-up to do. It's still all going into length at this point ;)

very nice jag
what percentage of diamond is it ?
what were the sire and dam ?
any pictures of the parents that produced such a nice looking jag ?
i've found the best way to capture their true yellow,is to take pictures outside on a sunny day
its a shame how a flash washes out the true beauty and depth of their colours
cheers shaun

I don't have any information on her other than that she was abandoned with a sibling of hers at a friends house, and that they both were something like 60% + Diamond, if memory serves.
There are no breeding plans in her future, even though I have an awesome male cheynei who's really into her. There simply aren't enough dedicated keepers in my area to justify breeding any of my snakes, yet there are always tons of unwanted snakes in the area looking for their next home. Perhaps if people stop swapping reptiles like trading cards I'd reconsider my position about breeding the Carpets, the Bloods or the Rainbows, but I don't see that changing for the better in my lifetime :(

I wish someone would abandon a pair of carpets at one of MY friend's houses and they would expect me to care for them...

She is absolutely stunning.. If you do end up breeding her, put me on the definite list to purchase.. I have a male Jag I'd love to breed a girl too.. or even some gorgeous girls who'd pop out some insane babies with a male that looks like that :P

You don't *really* want more people to abandon the animals they were responsible for, do you? ;)

I agree with you a 100% on the trading animals like playing cards it happens a lot i couldn't imagine my home without any of my pets and none of them are tradeable
outside of my lacertas I have no breeding plans and if my pair never make any viable young I will still happily keep them. but it would be nice to have some of their offspring

I certainly hear the "it would be nice to have some of their offspring" thing, and I know how tempting it can be; trust me, lol. I'm one of these types who feels I have a moral obligation to any life I take-on, whether it be vegetable, mineral or animal, and I simply couldn't live with myself if I saw reptilian offspring that came from my house being shuffled around year after year.
I keep a very close eye on those in my area that are constant traders/sellers, incessant collectors and those that hybridize. I keep a list of them for my own personal use to ensure none of them ever make it into either the local or national networks I've founded. I'm a firm believer that the quality of the keeper is even more important than the quality of the animal, and both my networks (link in profile) reflect that...I hope :o

I am not anti-breeding if it werent for others breeding I would not have my collection besides if I were anti-breeding it would be insane of me to start breeding my jewelled pair. From what I have seen you seem incredibly responsible and a great quality keeper and if you *were* to breed I would feel extremely comfortable buying one of your offspring and working with you once that offspring matures. I as well hope to come off as a responsible owner even though I have only a few years experience keeping herps

I'm not anti-breeding either, but I do believe in responsible practice and I can't justify breeding my Carpets when I see so many others floating around my own town.
You don't need 20 years experience to be a responsible keeper - that comes from within, and you seem to exhibit it for sure from what I've read of your posts.
I do have designs on breeding my Rainbow Boas once in a couple of years. I don't think people will be as inclined to swap them around as they are with more abundant species like Carpets, or more difficult species like Bloods. If one of those would interest you in the future, I'd be happy to pass you one, but I wouldn't sell you one. It's not about money, it's about finding the right home ;)

I take that as a huge compliment so thanks! and I happen to love BRBs and definitely hope to add a couple to my collection (not to make more I just love the look of them)

 Corrected me if i am wrong, but don't Diamonds get up to ten feet or more?
CDN_Blood

I wouldn't call a Diamond Python a small snake, no. They can get 10 feet under the right conditions. Sol's size mostly comes from the Coastal influence I think. All Jags have their roots in Coastal Carpet Pythons. We've got a looooooong way to go to see how large she gets; she's only 4 years old ;)

when i read the above i thought terry may have left the word " not " out at the beginning of his post
i'm sure terry will clear it up and give us his thoughts
i too believe putting a diamond in the mix can add to the final size of a carpet
imo coastals then diamonds being the larger of the carpet pythons
