I just swapped out the memory card in our daughter's MP3 player.

She's 16 and listens to it all the way to school and back while on the bus.

I changed the titles too.

so when she selects "Born This Way.mp3" this song plays..

pdPM6j1Q4sg

When she tries to play Papai.mp3 she will get this...

onRCY8xoODI

lazy song.mp3....

Vm5WMEv3moM

I hacked about 20 tracks that way, I even put "surfin bird" from Family Guy on there.:D

I won't get to hear about it until school gets out, but I bet she will be fuming when she walks through the front door.

Half the fun is knowing that she will over react big time.

Just last weekend she went nuts on her friend for not coming over to visit.

The girl had planned on coming over, and then had a sudden change of plans.. Sammy was cranky all weekend because of it.

After she slammed down the phone, she went off on a rant "she's a liar!!" "She promised" etc...

No matter what I said, it didn't help.

I have her memory card right here, I could never mess with the play list like that, as soon as I put her card back in, the playlist will be just as she set it up.

And you think snakes can be nippy..... When she gets home she is going to stalk her prey (you) line up for the strike, strike, coil, and swallow her prey whole (again you),

Oorrrrrr she's going to bring down hellfire and blow up your house with teenage rage

Either way sounds awesome

No way, we are talking about a young lady who wears black wrist bands, boots to her knees, black finger nail polish, black lipstick, dyes her hair black, shops at hot topic, blares Marilyn Manson, I hate the world, I'd just as soon yank your hair right out of your scalp as to look at you kind of kids.

She will bitch about it for half an hour before she gets distracted and finds something else to do.

I always keep something shiny or made of chocolate handy...:D;) never fails to calm the savage beast, toss the monkey a treat and it stops throwing poo.

Get this, My oldest daughter, Amanda (30) was a hippy teen, she was always in sun dresses, bell bottoms, tie died tees, jerry bear, tree hugging, I love puppies, Dave Matthews band kind of kid.

I used to mess with her and all she did was "daddy"....

She pranked me back one night, it was hilarious.. Back when she was in her senior year of high school I was a bit younger and less of a prude. She and a handful of local kids were out back partying in the woods (just the same as I did when I was in my late teens, so I let it slide)

I had snuck back there, climbed up in a tree above the group of kids huddled around the campfire, they were all laughing and carrying on like one would expect, and I grew up here, I know every blade of grass and twig on this property like the back of my hand, I did this with no flashlight and like a cat in the night I was hovering over them.

The first pine cone I threw was into the pile of empty cans... I threw the pine cone hard as I could, it made a loud noise and some cans scattered.. Silence! those kids stopped talking instantly and looked at the cans like WTF just happened there.

Now they are all focused on that I toss another pine cone the opposite direction.

This went on for several minutes before anyone looked up!

Payback time...

After I climbed down out of the tree, we were all laughing and all seemed well.

I made the mistake of telling them I drove my dodge neon (very small compact car for those in the UK) back to the edge of the trees and walked the rest of the way back.

So about half a dozen big guys including Amanda's boyfriend said they had to go to someones house for another 12 pack, and they would be right back shortly.

Those guys physically lifted my car up and carried it into the tree line and put it between 2 trees so that I could not open either door to get in and start it.

This kid is from the opposite end of the spectrum.

And I'm quite a bit older now, so over my dead body would either of my kids I'm raising at this moment have such a party in the woods.

Lmao that is a great story. I had a ford festiva for my first car and I would often find it placed in odd spaces so that I couldn't get in. I also was just like your youngest daughter. I would dress in all black and full of rage. You my sir are going to have one eventful afternoon.

I used to attend navy cadets and our commanding officer was a disabled veteran so he had a disabled parking space outside of our HQ. There was always this one local resident who would park in his space and there were various "heated debates" with him about the legalities of the space (it was perfectly legal and approved by the local council).

This one night the guy had been particularly abusive and had actually thrown a can of beer over our CO so when he went back inside his house we went out and picked his car up (1960's mini mayfair) and put it on double yellow lines (no parking allowed) before phoning the police to say that it was blocking the road - he got ticketed and tried to convince the police that he hadny parked it there. Needless to say they didnt believe him.

The next time he parked in the disabled space the car ended up on its roof in the middle of a local park - he never parked there again after that! :)

Maybe that taught him something about respect.

Well she came storming in off the bus.. Just as I expected.

Looked at me with a disgruntled face and said "you frigged up my MP3 player, threw it at me demanding I fix it and then went all 180 asking for the phone.

But she had somthing else on her mind, Instantly wanted the cell phone to call a boy from school she likes. He gave her a friendship bracelet today.

I swapped the card back and said "all better" then handed her the box of fudge stripe cookies, she chilled right out.

Even after she wound up leaving a voice mail on Harley's phone. ( I expected some drama when no one answered to be honest)

Hard telling, every time I get close she moved further away.

Something about me invading her privacy, go figure.

Oh wait, when I was 16 and wooly mammoths still roamed the glacier plains, I used to ride my bike 1/2 mile to the pay phone to talk to girls because dad would not let me sit in the pantry with our phone.:D

They already went out for a while, he was scared off by her aggressiveness.

He's seeing someone else now.

I'm glad they could get past that "ex thing" and still be civil since they have to share a classroom.

If I had a quarter for every time I heard that while growing up, I could do laundry for a month.

ha ha, we went to the natural history museum in DC, they had a sign over a large dinosaur fossil (I believe it was a dinosaur of some sort) that read "touch the fossil." Being the smart @$$ that I was (and still am), I walked over to my dad and promptly started poking him. When he asked what I was doing I explained the sign told me to touch the fossil. He looked at me and said "oh look, a new endangered species." Great times.

Things like that break up the humdrum of parenting and are the little things remembered most later on

yeah, we've got so many moments like that that we don't remember them until they become relevant.

I think it's awesome you playing tricks on them. Years from now they'll appreciate it. I wish my family had been more like that! cracks me up!
