I know you probably get this a lot, but thank you for what you do. I would like to thank you for everything that you put up with and go through in the service of our country. I was at Red Lobster last night with a friend and as we were waiting for our food a young Marine in his dress uniform came in and sat down with whom I assume were his parents. As we were eating the manager came over to his table and presented him with an envelope with $25 in it and said it was from the woman who had been sitting in the booth behind him. It was to go towards his meal as a thanks for what he did for our country. My friend and I were touched and thanked him ourselves as well.
Once again, thank you.

For remembrance day -

"They will not grow old, as we that remain grow old
Age will not weary them nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning

We will remember them!!

And thank you Kyle for starting this thread.

Can't really add to what has already been said.

To each and every soul who has ever made a stand for freedom from oppression and tyranny, Regardless of what flag you stand for, Salutations and gratitude forever.

very nice to read this especially on Remembrance Day.

May all the soldiers overseas come home safely, and get the support they need when they come home. If they are lost let them find their way, and once they get here please let them find peace.

To all the families who have lost a loved one also find peace.

In a world so full of hatred and greed that we need war please find love and compassion. I believe we find love and compassion every time we see a veteran walk by. Old or young these people are our hope for a better place, and reassurance that it is possible because of their love for us.

The following is a picture I took while in Italy, its from a place called Rae d'Puglia a WWI memorial site. It is one of many small monuments around the compound dedicated to the lost soldiers so their families would have a place to remember and mourn.

may god bless and keep you.

Hope you tipped good :) ... any way, I WORK at Red Lobster here in Sandusky Oh (by Cedar Point) and last year i had a table of two guys who just got back from duty, a table by them bought their meal, and all the servers got together and bought them desert and some food to take home... we also thanked them for their services as well, and let me tell you... you could TELL that they were so proud of what they do. It was really awesome seeing the other tables and employees all come together to say thanks to the military men (and women)...

so i also say thanks you!! also having friends in the service i know how hard it is on families sometimes! so thanks!!!!

btw Millertime, why are you eating Red Lobster when you Live in New England?

I honestly forgot it was Rememberence Day, I was just posting to say thank you. I don't think it can ever be said enough. But I guess it works out.

I always tip good for good service, I have yet to receive bad service at Red Lobster here in town. I'm jealous of you working so close to Cedar Point, been 3 times, greatest coaster park in the country.

and finally NE DOES NOT MEAN NEW ENGLAND! LEARN YOUR GEOGRAPHICAL ABBREVIATIONS! We exist over here in the middle too.

yup, shortly after it re-opened from some rain. Rode it 3 times in a row without getting off because nobody else had gotten in line. They were all on other rides that had opened before.

Well I don't always support the what, where, when & how aspects of our Military, but I will always no matter what support those who are in it for us.

Those that have selflessly risked all for us & specially those that have lost all for us.
Those that made it possible for us to enjoy the rights & freedoms we have & continue to have as a direct result of their sacrifices made on our behalves & sacrifices yet to be made on our behalves.

We should all take a moment to think about how good we really have it thanks to these great Men & Women that gave their all to ensure we would have ours now & forever.

Lest We Forget

Nuff Said, Mark

This is the way I feel about the current intervention. I thank them for what they do for us, even if I don't agree with where they're at.

You cant blame the forces for WHERE and WHAT they are doing, its isnt their choice, but you most certainly can thank and respect them for signing up to do it :)

Exactly, I don't always agree with the decisions the government makes to send our troops out,

BUT I ALWAYS SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!!!

However, as a society we need to do more so our current and future generations do not forget what sacrifice WAS MADE on thier behalf. There was an article in our paper where a man was being interviewed, he recalled a recent discussion with a teenage girl, where he was talking about our troops and why we lie safe in our beds at night and her response was (and I quote the paper) "yeah, yeah, blah, blah, blah" I was speechless.

My 4 yr old can tell you (age appropriate of course) why we celebrate rememberance day. MY 4 YR OLD!! and that quote came from a teenager.

sickening in my mind, because I truly beleive that once we let future generations forget, all veterans sacrifices will have been in vain and it WILL happen again.
