I was wondering if anyone could verify if my boa is a BCC or a BCI Here's some pics, if you need more just ask. Thanks!

I think it's just a normal Colombian. BCI!
They're the most common pet boa
Nice boa!

Lol it's tail is MUCH brighter in person. The camera bleaches out color slightly. Ok, wasn't sure but it was hard for me to tell with pics of BCCs because mine's so similar. I was looking at differences in brightness of the tail, how much of the tail is red, the saddles, and the general pattern of the tail. I'm new at the subspecies thing so thought I'd get some second opinions. Thanks for your input!

Dont take my word for it tho mate, im no expert at all and you can see your boa in person. Im sure someone else who's more knowledgeable on the subject will pop In soon.

Thanks! When I saw "Colombian red-tailed boa" about her I was a bit doubtful. I'll just call it a she until I get her sexed. lol I know most pet stores don't treat their animals right, but this girl seemed to do pretty well. The owner ownes a small pet store, and I haven't seen any signs of malnutrion, parasites, retained sheds or anything. He mostly gets unwanted pets or some from local breeders, but I haven't seen any in bad condition yet. I saw this little girl's head watching me, and I fell in love, just had to buy her! She's a very funny snake, she reaches her head from wherever she is and flicks her tongue on your hand when you change out her water or get her out to hold her or clean her substrate. She's difficult when it comes time to put her back. lol Climbs right back up my arm and tightens her tail as tight as she can on one of my fingers. Loves to be in your face, and has poked my eyeball numerous times. :)

Not all bcc's have bright tails, more of a very deep solid redish purple.
