View Full Version : feeder rats
hey guys,
I need some help finding a place to buy frozen rats in the montreal area.
i have looked into rodent pro and a bunch of other bigger companies but none will ship to me. so I have been forced to pay 8$ for each rat I buy:angry:,this doesn`t sound like alot but it quickly adds up and i know i can find them cheaper online.
so if any one knows where i can buy rat`s at like 2$ or 3$ each
in the montreal or surounding area please let me know!

LMAO I am good at research. I have done it enough for grants and other stuff. Not to mention teaching students how to do it in a fraction of the time. :)

Exactly why I don't buy from them. The shipping to my area was $5 shy of the cost of the rats themselves  about $50 for the rats and $45 for the shipping

Yeh, insane.... no idea why they don't make a deal with some shipping company considering the volume they ship.

They have just went exclusively with fedex this week. There prices really aren't too crazy because when I worked for DHL any package containg over 2.2 pounds of dry ice is considered hazardous material and required special shipping and paper work.

I have an order of 100 mice pinkies, 100 large mice, 20 small, 20 medium, and 20 large rats for $205 . Pinkies sell for $2 each here and mice go for 4 bucks. Rats go for 6 for small, 7 for medium and 8 for large. Those prices are without our 13% tax. The rodent pro order is product, tax and shipping in. Seems like a great deal to me.

It just makes more sense to me to buy frozen prey at an expo where they're much cheaper

I'd avoid them unless your animals are strict bird eaters.

It might be hard to switch your snake back over to rats if you get 'em hooked on chicks

Eli take this advice and hold it dear to you heart. If you cannot afford to pay for it DON'T play with it.
I haven't met a man yet that could afford a woman.
