Well I'm glad you all like these two. I enjoy them an awful lot also :)
Kat: they're certainly impressive to behold, so if you can find some to see, I do recommend it. It's dealing with them that can be the tricky part, lol.
While I can't say that any of my snakes aggressive, my brongs do startle easily and if they are startled, the likelihood of them getting defensive increases, so I do recommend getting to know one before you try to interact with it. It pays to know the moods of any particular brong before approaching it ;)

The larger is certainly over 10 pounds (probably closer to 15) and the smaller is probably around 5-6 pounds, but I honestly couldn't tell you for sure. I haven't weighed any of my snakes for more than 20 years, lol.

I love bloods, absolutely gorgeous.. Do you happen to know of any blood breeders in the area with decent quality animals??

I love black socks, I don't wear my white ones anymore, ever.
The blood is looking good.

I thought that was a given seeing as they look nothing alike also..

Well, I suppose if one doesn't read they might think it's the same snake at different stages of growth because brongersmai do change radically as they mature, but yeah, I kinda thought it was obvious too, lol (scratches head and shrugs).
These two are opposites; one was a yellow hatchling that matured into a red adult, the other was a reddish hatchling that's maturing into a yellow adult. The little guy is the succession plan for the big'un. They're 8 years apart and quite different from one another - it's all part of the plan ;)

I do. Well i can also tell by looking. My question is you have pics of Blue and Bubba, but where's Boom Boom? So what's the plan?

I don't take Boomers out if Blue or Bubba have been out in the past few hours because she reacts to their scent trail by leaving a little trail of her own and getting a little uptight, lol. It's just a routine I have to stay with - I won't allow an intergrade affair happening here ;)
The 'plan' is nothing more than succession. Blue is 10 years old, Bubba is only 2 years, so by the time Blue passes-on, Bubba will be around the half-way mark and ready to step into his shoes, so to speak. By the time Bubba passes away, I'll be ready for the old folks home. See, it's all in the plan :P

I see i thought maybe it was some kind of breeding plan.

None of my snakes will breed. There aren't enough dedicated people in my area and there are already too many snakes out there being shuffled around over & over for my taste, so I won't add to that problem by increasing those numbers ;)

Very nice! I agree, each of my bloods is different, and you do have to be more cautious. Before handling I always make sure they know I am there, and give them a few minutes to get used to the fact that I am there. Once that is established, I proceed to pick them up slowly, fast movements really can startle them and get them to be defensive, more so than other snakes I have handled. Once out of their enclosure they are great, again just have to move slowly with them.

Yep, that sounds exactly right :)
