So, I decided to put a che in my 4x2x2 for my brb. O just now seen that the light fixture only went up to 75 watts.... so my thing is, will a 60 watt che warm a 4x2x2?? If not I'm thinking of using some heat rope to put around the enclosure.... thanks guys!!!!

I seriously doubt that a 60 watt heat emitter is going to be warm enough. But it also depends on where you live and what your outside temps are.

i have a 100w che and it keeps the 4x2x2 viv pretty nice for my dumerils. also i missed his last blue entirely and he had a perfect shed even with 0 misting, which was surprising and awesome.

im in norcal. it's usually decently warm around here but not too hot. can get cold at night.

I use 150W CHE in all my 4x2x2's, i work on the theory that it si better to have a larger bulb working less hard/often than a smaller one running at full rate (this is totally my own theory and not backed up by anything i have read :) )

I have a 100w in my custom 40g breeder. Works like a charm.

The room is always around, 70 degrees... out side temps are cold I'm in northern Ohio... maybe ill switch other up for a 100watt

its a sound theory, its evident in cars and many other machines. I'm not sure if it applies to light bulbs.

Right now it is 80.8 on the warm side, and this is with a light bulb I had on the temporary 10gallon tank, and that is with the cage sitting outside where it is currently 52 degrees F. Just want to know what you all think, don't want to take out all the lighting work and do it all over, but will if I have to...
