i have a corn snake, but now i am thinking i should have gone with a ball the pet store said she will take back the corn for the ball. but i dont know what too do.

What makes you change your mind about the corn snake? Why do you want the ball python instead? It would help us to understand if you told us some of your thought process...

I like the looks of balls. Corns are pretty too.
I heard balls are more calm and stuff then corns

I think you should return the corn snake, Do much more research. Figure out what snake you want and then wait 6 months. If you still want the same kind of snake go for it. If not then maybe you are not ready to get one.

I think corn snakes make perfectly good pets and can be wonderful snakes. If you do choose to trade your corn snake in for a ball python, you should be aware that you'll have to thoroughly wash and bleach the corn snake's enclosure (if you'll be using the same one), throw out and replace all the bedding, etc, and ball pythons will need higher humidity levels etc too. So you might have to make a few changes for the ball python. You mentioned that you would like a ball python because they are "more calm". I'm guessing this is because you currently have a baby corn snake... right? Babies will calm down with age, and once your baby corn snake gets used to handling he/she will calm down more for you. Whatever you choose to do is your decision at the end of the day. Just trying to help you decide what's best for you and the snakes in question :)

Corn snakes are actually much better beginner snakes than balls. Theyre more forgiving when it comes to husbandry/how to care for them. Ball pythons need much higher humidity and are finicky eaters if their environments arent perfect. Most corn snakes Ive heard are very easy to feed, so thats another thing to think about.

IMO, I would keep the corn. If you really do have a passion and love for snakes, getting a ball python sometime in the future is definitely an option.

BP's are a lot of work to get their environments just right. Do some indepth research, ask questions, (Pro's & Con's) and be sure you know what you are getting into.

Personally, I would keep the corn then in a year if you are ready for another snake (there is never just one...) then get a BP and you will have a better understanding of what needs to be done. It's a win win situation all the way around.

I agree with this. But I also agree with Gungirl. If you're not sure I'd give back the corn and take some time to study and make sure your husbandry is perfected. After that time you'll know which you want.
