it looks like it has a lot of irian jaya influence,it may even be a pure irian jaya carpet python
with carpets the only way to know for sure is to ask the guy who bred it
its a very nice looking carpet regardless of its make up
cheers shaun
thank you guy`s alot for the help! im pretty sure he is a irian jaya aswell
i bought him a rat today to eat, he killed it but is refusing to eat it

Looks like a Irain Jaya to me, but it's hard to tell for sure. If you could get it in some better lighting would help.

Definitely irian jayas blood. Could be other stuff in there but not a high percentage. Some jag sibs have crazy patterns though.
awsome thank you so much guy`s! i bought 2 rats today my boa rufused to eat because she is shedding i didnt realize before i bought that rat
and the carpet python killed the rat buy would not eat so now i am stuck with 1 dead rat and 1 live and nothing to eat them i am alergic to them so im not sure what i am going to do any idea`s?

kill it, stick it in a frozen bag, freeze it.
please don't feed it live anymore if possible.
thanks for rescuing that beauty.
i do not like feeding live but the idiot`s before me would only feed live so i am just trying to get him settled in and then i will work on switching him over to frozen thawed
i worked the situation out he ate the big rat and i froze the smaller one till my boa is out of shed thanks again guy`s truly a great forum!! with awsome people!

I concur that it's all Irian Jaya.
As for feeding, IJs are funny a lot of the time. I'd have to say that 7/10 that I know are finicky eaters, but I'd certainly try dead food before anything else. If it gets hungry enough, chances are that it'll eat if it's happy with it's conditions.
I see a lot of people trying all kinds of tricks to get their IJs to eat, but if you start doing unusual things like braining or scenting, you'll likely end up always have to do it, so in my opinion it's best to get the snake to bend to your will, not the other way around. It's not always possible, but it's certainly worth the effort to try :)

irian jaya it is then thanks guy`s! ok i few other quick question`s if you guy`s dont mind
sorry i just like making sure i am doing everything right.ok so this snake has been living in a 100 gallon flexarium bascially just a screen tent thing it hold`s no head and no humidty and the poor snake has been living in it for over a year. he had a big ceramic heater and also a light.so now i have him set up in this flexarium just for a few day`s until i get my boa`s 7 foot cabinet done i was planning on puting him in her old tank wich is a 40 gallon until i could figure out his perminent home is this size ok for him for now? he is almost 6 feet but pretty thin compare to my boa i would like to put him in this tank because i have perfected the heat and humidty in it and i want to get him back to good health.my boa is in perfect condition always great shed`s very tame curious very healthy

dimensions on the 40? At 6 feet I would probably want mine in at least a 55.
it is almost 3 feet long and 1 foot wide and 1 and a half tall about,
it will only be temporary until i build him his own cabinet just to get him out of the strupid flexarium

yeah, that's about half of what you want. General consensus is 1 sq ft of floor space for every foot of snake.

I agree. This looks a lot like my IJs. This one is very pretty.

Please do not house them together. There are many many risks and it will done far more harm than anything. Search co-habitation and you will see all the negative reasons I don't feel like repeating them all.
ok i will not house them together i knew i shouldn`t just wondering
if it would be ok temporary should i keep the python in the huge flexarium?
how can i give him the right humidty in there? i just finished the boa cabinet
that contains a ceramic heater and a light i also installed a pc fan to help
with the circulation of air in the terrarium
i will post pics soon

go ahead and put him in the flexarium until his home is finished. Husbandry is important, but safety more-so. You don't have to worry about husbandry if you don't have a snake to take care of...
just be prepared for the consequences of bad husbandry.
ok i will do everything i can for him i mist the python often i have 2 main heat source`s
my room is always warm even way to hot for me but i put up with it for the snake`s
