A MBK sounds wierd, should be an MBK imo!!

Anyway, went to my first reptile show today in Hamburg PA and was overwhelmed by the sheer number of awesome species I saw. I was looking at bearded dragons, carpet pythons, and hognose snakes. Completely forgot how much I liked these guys until I spotted 3 baby MBKs.

Held one and he crawled up my arm and hung out on my ear for a couple minutes so I had to have him! Anyway, bad pics I know but I just got him home. Hes set up in a small plastic terrarium(plenty big enough for now) I think it's 8 qts. The 2 hides on either side both are cardboard toilet paper rolls. I have his water dish in the middle. The whole thing is being heated with heat cable on a rheostat, I'm watching it close to make sure it doesn't get too hot on the lowest setting to melt the plastic.

Anywho, thanks for looking. Oh and I got 50 little pinkies for 10 bucks so hes set on food for awhile!

He looks great!! Congrats on your new snake. I was at the Hamburg expo today too! I picked up a rosy boa for my cousin :) Sounds like you enjoyed the expo too!

Yea it was awesome. I didnt have much to spend and really didn't wanna walk out of there with anything too pricey to buy/care for so I think me and the little guy are a perfect match.

I try not to look at cheap snakes... I get way too tempted :p

Well I've had this little guy since Saturday and Im already very attached to him. Compared to my Ball he is so funny to watch. Where Stubbs just moves his head around and moves only when hes ready this guy is always on turbo. He zings around his cage looking for a way out still. I woke up today to find that he had completely rearranged the cold side haha. Pushed all the bedding up into a pile in the middle and put a hide in his water dish, buried the leaves I have in there and left me a surprise haha.

I've been leaving him be to settle since Monday when I fed him. He ate 2 little pinks with no problems. He weighs only 16g as of Monday! But today when I rearranged his cage to his dismay its like he wanted to be held. He kept coming to my hands where I was working and slithering up them haha.

But the phone is on the fritz right now, when my new battery gets here I should be able to get some decent pics of his little face up by this weekend.

His cool looking. Can't wait to see more pics. I have a buddy who has a 5 foot 3 year old male MBK.

Love these guys too. Funny my kids gopher snake does the same thing. She comes over to see what your doing when we do a spot clean. She to is very active and pretty much only goes into her hides when she sleeps or digests dinner ;)
