I keep all my Burms and Retics on Aspen and I have no problems with it.

I use repti bark for all my reptiles, not got anyhting as big as a burm or retic tho, i find it holds humidity where required, is easy to clean, easy to replace etc

Both my ball pythons are on a mix of aspen and reptibark which they love.

Never seen that before. Seems like it would look weird! :P But to each his own

lol well both of mine occasionally like to burrow, so aspen was great for that. and the reptibark helps with keeping the humidity up in the enclosure better than aspen. when I mix them, we all win! :D

I use straight aspen or reptibark/aspen mix for all of my snakes except for my amazon tree boa. It works great for most snakes that don't need high humidity.
Has anyone tried coconut husks?

I would think coconut husk would be ideal for either.

Longterm, you want to use aspen or paper. I prefer paper though.
Coconut husk holds humidity well, but its overall ability to soak up a gallon of pee is less then ideal. Paper is convenient when you have a ton of animals, and aspen is better overall then paper but more expensive.
