Looks great. How old is he?
Name idea: Hulk, Shrek, Grinch, or Godzuki. They're all awesome green cartoon characters (especially Godzuki :D)

Best not to until they have completed the colour change, and then only on very rare occassions, they are definitely to look at not to hold as a general rule.

Exactly what the shop owner said. I'm also not a keen on handling my snakes unless it's mandatory .

I have had mine for just over 3 months now and have yet to do more than look at him.. Im just happy that they make such good display snakes.

You overpaid, by almost double. The majority of shop-owned GTP's are farm bred biaks or mainland hybrids that your average expo vendor unloads for around $200-$300. I'm almost certain that what's you got. If, in a year its sporting high blues, contact me and I'll gladly eat my words.

Around here you are correct. Seeing that he is not in the same country prices can be VERY different.

In the UK GTP's sell for around £400-£600 for a basic non special GTP, i would love to pay US prices for my snakes!!

Another vote for Dangles here, but he needs a first name too... How about John Dangles :3

Iv never really been a big fan of GTPs since you cant snuggle them, thats necissary for my snakes.

At expos around here they go from 300 - 500 this guy was listed for $899 at retail, me and the shop owner go way back. $500 was a great deal for this guy.

Wow! What a gorgeous GTP! Congrats :) I absolutely love his colouring.

Considering his intense, bright colours, I would suggest Hyperion, the Titan of light or Helios, the personification of the sun in Greek mythology. Or Neon, for obvious reasons :p

What a stunning snake you picked up there and getting that sort of a deal is pretty awesome.
On the note of handling at the expo I went to there was a guy walking around with his 2 year old GTP on his arm it freaked me the hell out when all of a sudden a snake was "sniffing" my arm lol.
