Well the fiancé and I made the 8 hour drive to the NARBC expo today in hopes of getting some more advice about breeding and I ended up getting a 8 year old Pastel Ball Python for a great price. I'm going to be looking for a spider or pinstripe girlfriend for him in hopes of producing some bees or lemon blasts. One question will he be okay on the car ride without a heat source as long as we keep it a good temperature in the car or should I pick up a cheap tub and uth for the car ride (I brought with my standard outlet that plugs into the cigarette lighter). I'll have pics tomorrow after I pick him up and get home.

Tuck him in a pillow case, throw that pillow case in a small cardboard box with a blanket in the bottom, and put in by your feet. Turn the heat on if your worried - I don't know how cold it is where you are - but don't toast the little man. Being a little chill for a few hours will be fine - assuming your not driving through some freak blizzard? :)
Congrats btw

Sounds good temps are in the upper 50's low 60's here but I don't mind having the heat on the feet.

You could put him in a small box with a heat pack. Just stick him in a pillow case put it in the box and throw a heat pack in. You can get them at Wal-Mart for like a buck or two.

Made it home safe and sound here are two pics I took of him in his temporary enclosure until morning. And one of a big croc that was at the expo. His name is Kif like the alien off of Futurama because of the alien faces towards his head on the sides of him.

Have you named your bp yet? He looks great! Also that croc looks eerily relaxed... not a favorite animal of mine, that's for sure :p

His name is Kif because of the alien faces on his sides. Yes that croc is super relaxed and it is a rescue croc! I had to stand there for a good 20 minutes before I actually believed it was real. They were selling pics with it and there were little kids just going up and wrapping their arms around him and he didn't even flinch. Nothing bothered him. It took the guy picking his head up until I believed he was real because he actually moved around a little bit then.

I'm 99% sure that's actually an american alligator.

It very well could be I thought they said crocodile though. I can never remember which one has the round nose and which has the pointy v looking nose.
Anybody know for sure what it is?

It's an alligator. Crocodiles are the ones with the "V" shaped noses and alligators have a "U" shaped nose

yeah, since I couldn't see it in person I wasn't 100%, but it really doesn't look like any croc I've ever seen.

It was the first I've ever seen in my life croc or gator I honestly had no clue I thought they said gator but after talking to what feels like a million people you forget exactly what they say. Thanks for clarifying that though alessia and great catch miller
