Ahhhhh. Early death sucks, no matter who it is (well, almost!) Hopefully he went as comfortably as possible given the circumstances.

Once upon a time he and Bill Gates were in a race to out-do each other.
So in a sense, we owe all things PC partially to him.

A shame. RIP
Exactly what i was gonna say Wayne, the PC thing.
It is a shame, and I am sure more will come out in the coming days. From what I have read, he was a very passionate person who pushed people to their limits. Good and Bad. We have all used or watched products of his passion, and he has changed the world in may ways. As I said, it is a shame as he was so young. He was a truly remarkable man who was touched with a bit of that "vision thing".
For those that have not heard about Steve Jobs, you can check out his resume here. (http://100legends.blogspot.com/2011/01/steve-jobs-resume.html) While the Resume is a little old now, you will get the picture. Not to mention that he was the largest shareholder in a little company we know as Disney. A truly remarkable man.

as much as I joke about apple products being for people that want to be trendy and follow the crowd, Steve Jobs was a great innovator that pushed the boundaries of what could be down with many products. He pushed other companies to make better products to just keep up with Apple. He will be missed.

yet in some way, apple people owe many things to Bill Gates. Gates did write a big check to keep apple in business back in the day

Gates initially stole Microsoft from Jobs when they were still colleagues. This caused Jobs to go out and make Apple and fueled the rivalry between the two. Its a big heart breaker that he died so soon he truly was an innovator and had a brilliant mind.

I have been posting on these forums from my iPod for the month my computer was down. So yes. iPod = awesome. Macs = I won't get into it on this thread. No disrespect to Jobs of course! I actually like macs and have always been impressed, just prefer pcs!
Jobs did an amazing stuff with apple though
