This is my 7 year old Female Paradox Albino Sand Boa, Cleo. She was given to me 3 years ago by a close friend of the family who was downsizing his own collection. He had mentioned when he brought her to my house that she might be gravid, since he had put his male Dodoma with her a few months prior. She gave birth on June 25th, 2008, to her first litter of 13, 4 of which i held back, 3 males and one female.
I gave her a 3 year break before i decided to introduce one of the males i had kept from her first litter, to her in March of this year, and by the end of April, beginning of May, i knew that she would be giving me a second litter, which i knew would be a combo of Dodoma Flames and Paradox Albino's.

On August 6th, she gave birth to 17 beautiful babies, one of which was born with only one eye. That one is my special little guy=)

So she has been a great addition to my collection, and in a 3 year period, has given me 30 babies. This litter will probably be her last, as i might give her daughter a chance in 2 years time to see if she can live up to her mother:)

Top two, left to right are her son Rocky, and her Daughter Bella, who are 3 years old, and the bottom two are two of the newest additions, who are 8 weeks old right now.

I find it interesting that KSBs are the only known snake where a paradox still looks like a paradox but is hereditary.

I honestly did not think i would get as many Paradox Albinos out of this litter that i did, i was expecting 3, maybe 4 at the most, and i ended up with 9. So this litter was a great one all around. :)

Thank you!! I absolutely love mine, and young ones are just so fun to watch. It will be hard letting them go when the time comes, though i will keep at least 3 for myself:)

what makes them fun to watch?

I love seeing their little shovel noses peeking up out of the aspen, just waiting for their food to come by and just seeing the young ones enthusiastically wrap themselves around the pinkies, sometimes eating them while their upside down, lol.

I will say Kenyans have become my favorites:)

When my cousin had her baby KSB at my place we loved lifting the enclosure and seeing the bottom because you could see all the little burrowing trails!
