How many hours is sufficient to wait, before feeding after a shed ?
She just shed on Friday night between 8pm and 2am, and it is now 8 pm on Sunday.
Would it be more cautious to try and feed her tonight or tomorrow? Let me know and thanks !
She is fine to eat now. they are usually really hungry after a shed

My advice to you would be to experiment. Every snake is different. Some eat while they're deep in shed, others do not; some may like a few days after, others may not. Missing one week in order to feel out what your snake will or will not do is no huge deal.
That said, you should be more than fine to give feeding a shot tonight :)

Yeah my snake eats in shed. It all depends on the snake. Never hurts to try during a shed.

One of my snakes will take food when ever I allow. The others eat on their terms not mine.. its all worth a shot but you never know

my adult ball will eat whenever it's offered, regardless of whether or not he's in shed. you should be fine to try to feed tonight. good luck!

All my snakes pig out when shedding. Theyre just blind so they miss and bite me!:D

All my snakes are different, some will eat during shed others won't. You just have to try feeding at different times and see what happens. Sometimes I'll feed the day after they shed and other times I'll just wait until their next scheduled feeding day is. It doesn't hurt them at all to miss a feeding for a week or two.

Didnt I hear that if you dont wait 48 hours after a shed to feed your snake, it can cause the new skin to rip ? Is that a myth ?
Either way, gonna try and feed her in a bit. Wish me luck ^^

My snake always eats during shed without a problem she actually ate 2 hours before she shed a month ago and has had no problems with her new skin. I'm not an expert but I'm guessing that is a myth.

I'd say that is a myth. I normally offer food to my snakes right after they shed and have never had any issues. I also offer food to them while they are in a shed are most of them will still eat.

If your snake has already shed, go ahead and offer food. Most likely it will take it. My snakes will even eat in shed, unless they are just about to pull off the shed, and if they are they will pull off the shed and take their meal immediately. There really isn't any wait time for feeding after shed. It's not like surgery or something. It wont hurt them. So go ahead, if you are feeding f/t just watch if he doesn't take it, put the rodent back in the freezer before it goes bad and wait a couple days and try again. :)

Congrats to me :) She ate her second time with no problem.. I had to be persistent and she ended up climbing halfway out of the feeding tub and onto the newspaper below.. But eventually she striked! :) Really glad my snake is acclimating to its new home so well. She had the most nice looking long one-piece shed on Friday and now she's eating too ^^ Been playing with her here and there for a few minutes, she doesnt seem to mind. She even likes adventuring on my bed hehe

Sasha will eat before, during, and after a shed as long as she is hungry. Friday her belly was pink, sides turning filmy, and she ate GOOD. It just depends on their personality and mood.
I offer food on schedule regardless of shed unless her eyes are filmy or white. She becomes extremely skittish because all she can see are shadows. Her eye sight sucks to begin with so when her eyes are filmy/white she becomes overly stressed and I leave her alone.
Although I must admit that I find her amusing when she snorts / hisses at me. She forcefully expels air from her nose. The first time she did it, I didn't have a clue wth she was doing. I caught on after a few sheds though. It's rather cute because she doesn't have an aggressive fiber in her body.

Haha my BP loves my bed. He burrows into my comforter and pops only his head out to check things out.

Well there is a new one for me. I have never heard that one. The only thing with the new skin is they are completely sterile when they first shed. Little known fact that the snake as soon as the snake has shed is completely a sterile snake as soon as the shed has come off it is completely sterile. Rip the new skin nope. They are just shedding. Not a big deal and with just the right amount of humidity you will get the perfect shed too.

I wouldnt be comfortable re-freezing prey. Once its been defrosted it starts to deteriorate.
