I took some new pics of my two snakes. I still haven't gotten a good camera yet, so excuse the bad quality. My camera takes great long-distance large item pics, but nothing up close or small.

I had to play with all the different settings on my camera but I found that if you switch it to macro, thats how you can take clear close up shots. Thats a really nice boa you have, I like how crisp his tail is in that first pic.

Yup. Macro. Your camera is probably capapble, just switch it to that "flower" logo. (macro)

Awesome snakes!

I remember back when I first clicked the flower button on my old HP 3 megapixel, suddenly my pictures started looking really good.

Yeah, that is my camera on macro. It has a second setting capability where I can set how far or close to set it, and the closest it gets is 10-20 in. so the tail and middle show up great, not so much the head.

I had to mess with my camera too but try this.... You hold the camera back a little further and then zoom up to it . I do that and some of my my pics look like I was right on top of my snake. My avatar is a good example . Thats a pic of a baby eastern about a month old and I was a little over 2 ft away with my camera. When I figured that out I was so happy and I have even better ones I can post in a different thread later tonight or tomorrow.
Sorry to ramble but trying to help. You have a beautiful snake.

I was trying to get a size relation with them so I had them on my arm since none of my family members are willing to help me. lol

That's the macro setting. It's for up-close & detailed pictures.

So I played around again with my camera, trying about 100 different settings it feels like and here's some of my favorites. I had taken my BP out since it was one of the last warm days of the season, and my cat didn't appreciate it lol.
